Hey Claire another fab video!! Whats the most advanced skill you've done whilst on placement? What do you want to do when you graduate, any idea yet? What has been your fave placement so far? Was there a big jump from first year to second year in difficulty of the course? I am currently in first year so lots of questions lol!!
Does nursing ever get repetitive?Yesterday someone told me and hurted my feelings by saying that nursing gets repetitive, that is boring and that it is for the uncreative(I am a very creative person by the way) :( Is that true?
How do you manage your time when it comes to uni, placement and your social life? I start my nursing course in September and I’m quite nervous about managing my time Xx
Kirstin M that’s such a good question, I’m afraid I have already filmed the Q and A but I will answer your question anyway:) I manage my time by organizing my week in a planner. It’s easy to feel like you don’t have much time, but I find when I organize my time I have a lot more than expected. I would also recommend prioritizing things that are most important to you, but don’t be worr about managing time everyone gets used to it. I answered similar questions in the up coming Q and A, I hope this helps xx
Hello!! I'm starting my Adult Nursing course in September, I will be living at home and commuting to uni. But I'm torn between two universities - my question would be - which would you find most important: liking the university itself, or placement/hospitals i.e. distance, size etc. Just any advice in how to split hairs and pick between two universities. Love your videos!!
hey jess, depends what unis your thinking of? i think the placements are very important when studying nursing at uni. I would also look at the student satisfaction rate of the unis and the cities they are in and compare them x I hope this helps slightly hehe:)
(In Canada) The last week of our program, a leader in nurse training came to our class and said "it's about the money". But by that time it was too late to get our money back. In my opinion about 99% of the program was filler or "fluff". And I'm not the only one: www.reddit.com/r/nursing/comments/1xhtxw/nursing_school_farceuselessfluff/ www.reddit.com/r/nursing/comments/2kwk37/why_the_doctorate_of_nursing_practice_is_a_giant/ And I still have the debt to show for it. And then there's the nurse bullying...
