    Today I take a look at the CZ P10-C pistol...
    Overall, probably one of the best and most affordable turnkey pistols on the market. When you buy it, it needs nothing other than a decent holster. A pretty solid all around EDC (Every Day Carry) pistol.

    Seriously underrated tool imo. CZ waited waaaaay too long in bringing the full tactical versions out and just a plate option... they are amazing... just add a HBI trigger shoe and carry on. BTW...where is CZ's marketing??? Nonexistent. Still hoping Colt does not run them out of business.

      The early P10s had some issues. Shawn Ryan posted a video where they had a hot P10 with a frozen slide and trigger, unable to pull the trig or the slide. A very common issue was the backplate inducing failures because it would come loose. They fixed that by adding an angle so if it hits the back of the slide it will push itself back up in position. The earlier models would also drop the slide forward on a full mag which the newer models don't seem to. It's gone through about 4 revisions according to folks online. I got mine last year and initially didn't think much of it until I put some serious time behind it, now it's my main EDC

    When I bought my first gun (LWRCi M6IC DI) I a,so bought a Gen3 G19 frame and built it out. One of the next two were a CZ P-10 C & F (with Czech build stamps) I then got a few more and a P-10C Tactical with a grey frame came home with me. C Tac & F have HBI triggers and C is all stock and the one I carry. I put a Norsso Reptilian slide on the Tac (to get an optic cut) and cut the F for a Holosun 509T.
    I shoot my CZ’s way better than my Glock but have one because of the proliferation of Glock. I am thinking about the one rifle one pistol concept and leaning towards a Shadow Systems MR920 or the Platypus to utilize Glock magazines
    After reading through many comments and finding similar experiences where others shoot P-10’s better than Glocks, as I do as well, I’m thinking I might just save my money and sell off all my other pistols and exclusively use my P-10’s. The only reason I have Glocks is because of a minute change of SHTF or TEOTWAWKI and being able to pick up mags. With the CZ I’ll just have to unload and load. I don’t think I’d still be around though as I really need to get training (hoping to get to Clint Smith while he can still pass his knowledge).

    I have a CZ P10C and a Sig P320 Carry. The CZ is better from the factory. It is one of the best factory striker fired pistols I have ever shot. I refer to it as the best Glock 19 ever made. My Sig is now highly modified, so it's a better gun but I still believe the factory trigger on the CZ is just as good or better than the Apex on the Sig.

Cz p10c has 5-6 but all the companies are top notch Ike ppm, norso, primary machine, killer innovations, Taylor freelance Toni systems, Tactical hyve Cajun gunworks, cz custom, Danforth designs, etc. I only change trigger, sights maybe brass back straps. Recoil springs and comp. Would love barrel and slide from killer innovations. There are some out there but if you are building Glock clones, of course there isn’t that level of support. My p10 broke a striker after 200 rounds and maybe 1000 dryfire WITH a snap cap. CZ didnt respond. The striker I ordered was B grade at best, with a crooked sear surface. CZ did not fix it and did not respond. My trigger was gritty and creepy till it broke in. Than it was nice: solid wall, clean break. Except that it was horrendously inconsistent for the last 5 rounds in each magazine. With each shot the creep got more and more (behind the wall) and it completely threw me off sometimes. The reason was tolerance stacking between different parts and when the magazine excerted less upward pressure onto the slide, the trigger characteristics changed. Moreover the trigger was suspectible to a change in feel when the gun got dirty, sometimes even after 100-200 rounds.
    The stock sights are pretty soft and get easily dinged up, I also didnt find them as nice to pick up. Also be aware, that nearly everything in the gun is MIM cast, thats where the price comes from. Another thing: the exchangeable backstrap is like an afterthought. The M sized one on mine did make noices and wobbled, when I pressed tighter, because it was soft like rubber. You guessed it: a production flaw, cz didnt care about. the other problem is: the backstraps dont change trigger reach. Be aware like with all czs if you have largerhands or long fingers, the trigger might break very far back which can be a problem. Moreover, due to the backstrap design, the larger backstraps dramatically change grip angle. The large one puts you at an angle quite similar to a glock. The texture on the front and backstrap ist nice, the one on the sides is lacklustre at best.
    So it is not a bad pistole, but you should eventually buy only in person. I dont really like glocks that much, but the glocks ive handled inspired more confidence in me compared to the p10. I run a hk vp9 full size in the meantime, and you can criticize some things on these gun also, but the trigger on those really is consistent and most internal parts are stamped or machined steel, which is a completely other quality level. There is a reason the p10s are sold that cheap oftentimes.

    • @andershilmo1866
      @andershilmo1866 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had heard that some of the first guns had striker problems it was resolved supposedly rather quickly. I agree the non optic version there sights can dent the new sights do not and are rear blacked out serrated with a front orange night sights that pick up really quickly. Never had any trigger issues my c is an early 2019. From my understanding most of the issues were resolved by 2019 though mine had a very stiff mag catch. I think many people buy first year guns and they have problems look at Daniel Defense handgun it has a few issues I am confident that they will fix them and it will be a great gun. Glock had issues when they came out with there new plastic recoil guide rode and had to walk that back. SIG P365 had a batch of 1000 odd stickers. So did Glock which unfortunately made it to the marines. Like you said the vp9 has had several issues. I love them they are great guns, I have found that my p10c works better than my brothers vp9 when very dirty. As several mud/ dust/ water tests seem to indicate is true also. Not that that matters to much really. If your gun wasn’t a first year to year and 1/2 gun you probably got a lemon unfortunately which stinks. I wish the vp9 had more aftermarket support. Been tempted to get one they have come down in price though I think eventually I will get a p30L LEM instead. Enjoy your vp9 sir I am trying to get an old friend to sell me his lol😂 we will see if that happens.
      Edit I agree with you on the rear blackstrap wish the larger ones didn’t change the grip angle, the vp9 , p30 and pdp definitely do better in that department, Glock no comment needed lol. My hands are xl-xxl and the medium does work well for me. I do change most triggers I like flat faces. That might help as most custom trigger do not travel as far to the rear as stock.

      @marcelschultz4033 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@andershilmo1866 Hey, I agree with your assessment. My P10 unfortunately was a P10F from 2022, so no first batch problems. I think the p10s are serviceable weapons that shoot well, when the grip shape fits the users hand and I think that will be true for many people who also like cz75s. I also think that the gun should be quite reliable when dirty, because it is built very simple. The VP9 is much more complicated, so more things to go wrong. However I think the vp9 will outlast the parts in the p10 by a great margin, its just built better overall and it is also in my opinion more precise and shootable, although these last points are more of a function of fit.
      The thing with the aftermarket support is this - and I say that as someone who does like tinkering with stuff very much - I dont know what I should do to that gun honestly. Ergonomics are fine (grip texture could be more aggressive), trigger is fine, sights are fine. Sure one can lighten the trigger, install other sights, etc. pp. but in the end it is a striker fired pistol, which for me is not the best in a sports contest. And in my opinion striker systems shouldnt be messed with too much, most are fine as they are or fine with little tweaks but for a serious sports gun or precision shooting the metal hammer fired options are much more tuneable and suitable in my mind. Just more options and way more margin for error as with a striker system.
      But everything is just my opinion, I dont think anyone can really do wrong with any of the offerings of the current market, as long as the gun fits. In the end it comes down more to things like customer support and availabilty of spares and holsters...

      @@marcelschultz4033 I agree with your assessment. I mostly change over to flat triggers, better recoil springs sometimes a brass blackstrap, polished or NP3 coated quality striker. I don’t change striker springs those can give you light strikes. A nicer recoil spring can make a difference.
      Many times I am hesitant to buy hk as the parts availability is not very good. Cz is probably only a bit better thankfully Cajun gun works has stepped up for parts availability. Although the HK do go many many rounds without needing much maintenance. There are a few guys with 50k plus on the p10c regular guy training is one, honest outlaw has many rounds on p10 series as well. His ran well other than a recoil spring which is to be expected after many thousands. Thankfully there are many great guns out there. am looking at making some changes possibly soon I run a pdp pro which has everything I want just as is came in at 820 out the door can’t hardly beat that for a gun with a threaded barrel, magwell and the nicest stock striker trigger on the market at the moment. It’s to bad you had such a bad experience the gun was probably built on Friday or worse maybe a Monday lol. Best of luck sure have a good one. The longer I shoot the more I see the value of being able to train predominantly on one platform and get really good with it have a secondary that is a copy of what you carry.

      @@andershilmo1866 I live in europe, so I thought parts availability for cz is good, since they have a european web shop. Oftentimes everything is sold out and when I needed some warranty they left me out in the rain, as I mentioned above. This experience spoiled czs a bit for me tbh. The PDP I find very nice also. It has a bit more snap than the vp9. The pdp had one annoying feature for me unfortunately: the grip is a tiny bit too short, and my pinky finger gets caught between the corner and the magazine upon insertion. That made the case for the hk. But you are right, I cannot buy any parts as a regular guy, everything has to be ordered by someone with a sales license/shop.
      I have to be honest: when I think of the parts quality of my p10f I cannot believe these run more than 20k rounds before their completely done for. But maybe your right and I had a really bad model. It was czech made btw.
      Since I am a resident of germany, the shooting I can do is very limited, as is the number of guns I can own. And even to think about carrying a gun is sacrilege over here. There is so much beaurocracy involved around gun buying here, that the fail with the p10 was even more annoying than just the fact of having to sell it.

      @@marcelschultz4033 I use the 5 inch full sized 18 round plus one pdp pro with a magwell so it hasn’t pinched me although my friend compact without the magwell didn’t pinch. It is a bit snappier but a Parker mountain machine comp and zr tactical or dpm springs help a lot.
      I plan on taking my p10c to at least 40,000 plus most likely 60,000 is what I expect out of it it may need a slide at 60,000. My p10c is Czech made but my p10F is American made. I appreciate the calm responses many on y-tube cannot seem to have a real conversation.
      That’s to bad guns are considered a privilege. Here in the great state of Texas we believe all should be armed and well trained. If people see a pickup which is what many drive here we assume it has a gun in it. Out in the country there are wild boar/ hogs cougars and wild dogs. Most are armed.

    The grip sucks. The trigger gives you trigger bite. But its a quality pistol.

    Me and some buddies rented a p10c at the range and we all thought it shot noticeably worse than the Glock 19. To be fair, it’s possible it had getting destroyed as a rental but that was one of the biggest disappointments at the range. I had high hopes and then They were crushed. I’m sure it’s a great gun, I personally would sway towards something else.
