KTM Duke 250 is an all new motorcycle from KTM for the global market and the motorcycle produces 29 bhp of power and around 24 newton meters of torque which I personally think gives it the edge as an urban motorcycle. This is the perfect commuter that can stretch it's legs on the highway.
The Duke 250 has a top speed of 142 km/h which should be sufficient.
Priced at 1.8 lakhs ex showroom mumbai it's not a most value for money motorcycle KTM has to offer.
Still I think the stylish street fighter looks will surely turn heads.

Forgot to tell you that the seat height is 822 mm and for people below 5'-6" it maybe a bit of a problem.
Buy a FZ25, change the brake lines to steel braided ones, add a master cylinder worth about 6-7K, change the air and oil filter to K&N ones and add that Daytona exhaust. All this for about 35-40K more. What say? Damn! You still won't get USD forks, oil cooling, slipper clutch and that top end performance!

Ride With Rahul Hey brother how tall are you and was the riding position comfortable for long distances ? I'm 6'1 and want to know would it be comfortable enough ? KTMs was being a choice only due to its performance , raw racing and now with this one being a lower performance bike with respect to its category of 250 segment making it preferable for traffic riding ( city riding ) conditions , no one would like to spend that much amount for such technical specs . Still waiting for complete details of the bike but looks like not a value for money thing.

Yeah, I had the same dilemma. But I realised dominar isn't a good idea if I wanted a bike for daily commute in the city. It's a heavy bike with wide handle bars, good for touring but a bad idea for traffic. Especially because the new 2019 model has increased weight and handle bar length.
If you tour a lot, go for the dominar. But if you want a bike for traffic and daily commute within the city duke is a safe choice.
Either way, give a test ride for both the bikes and you be the judge.
Btw duke gives more mileage within the city compared to the dominar, so you'll get back the extra 25-28 k you spend on duke, in fuel efficiency. So you can assume both the bikes are of the same price. Hope this helped you.

@@vipinshanmugam3036 yeah, maintenance of Duke is higher. I bought the Duke 250, the first 3 services (from the dealer with discount) cost you a thousand and change. After that every service will cost you more. Take that into consideration before deciding.

Hi Rahul. I just purchased a brand new duke 250. While shifting gears I do hear the normal clanking sound but also get this feeling that the clutch wire is gonna break or snap. Is this something to do with the slipper clutch ?
No, I think you should get it checked as slipper clutch only feels soft doesn't feel like it's gonna snap.

Bro I have heard that the 6th gear of this bike is a cruising gear..the 5th gear pulls the bike upto 130+ and after changing the gear the speed of the bike increases only by 4 or 5 km....
Rishab Saha normally that's how bikes r tuned , 5 th for power n 6th for cruising ... I own a ns200 n it reaches 130 @5 th gear
