It's eerie how similar Tim and Jeff are considering he only met his father a few times and never really knew him. Both of their voices are amazing, there aren't really words to describe how beautiful their music is. It definitely touches your soul. You can actually feel the music.
Most Unappreciated in his time, I'm very glad to see these Tim Buckley uploads here these days. I followed him for years, then heard of his death in 1975. Somehow I was not surprised. No one can sing as beautifully as this, and be destined to live very long.
@@wouterdeheus3626 it's the pain and suffering that has to do with their life span, and whatever they go through it shows in their lyrics and vocal melodies.
You articulated just how I feel when I hear Tim's voice! After some years of listening to him I feel I am constantly discovering a realm of endless echoing mystery and melancholy. I feel that Tim's music cannot simply be listened to but needs to be experienced on deeper, less tangible levels. I am frightened, soothed, mystified and aroused by his voice-it's such a journey to go on with him...I believe his is an energy that will never fade.
Amazing. I only came across Tim Buckley in the 90s , tragic I know, on a radio program called Vinyl Museum broadcast on Radio National in Australia and hosted by Mac Cocker, father of Jarvis.
Very poetic. While it is true that 'this angel has taken humannform- Tim Buckley. But in reality, humans are not angels and vice versa..Perhaps Tim Buckley was too good for this realm.

White heat of swaying day Dark slap of conga cries, “Come out and breathe as one” Salt sea and fiddles drone Out on the dancing stone While the Santa Anas blow Sing the music boats in the bay Here sunrise was stinging For all of our longing If you can’t give me comfort At least come for real On the long ??? Thanks for the information. It still seems quit confusing to me, but that seems more like Tims fault then yours ; ) I recommend you the version of venice beach on the troubadour set. It is a lovely piece I think.
Pytshan I think the one you are thinking from off Live At The Troubadour (instrumental) is called "Venice Mating Call". This performance is featured on the DVD "My Fleeting House", and Larry Beckett talks about it a bit, and mentions the title is "Venice Beach".

I believe the "???" is "promenade". The Venice promenade is a big part of venice beach, and is actually quite long. I think officially its called the venice boardwalk.
Tim Buckley with a recorded vocal range of F#2 to A5 and with an ease to reach high notes so softly is simply a legend.
Simply astonishing. What a loss both the Buckleys were to truly creative, moving, inspirational music.... Thanks for posting. A rare treasure.
Love the tremendous tremolo in his singing .... so meditative and sea-like ...

what does somesone's ability to sing have to do with their life span?

He had avid fans who never saw his downfall coming .
Wow..... That's a controlled performance sprinkled with magic.
He sings from the dreamworld, not this one.... such a rarefied atmosphere he creates with sound and lyrics, truly astounding!
He was and still is the best.
this is dreamlike. his voice is pure soul

What a legend. You can tell he feels the music, which is integral to being truly great.
A true real singer, spellbinding..oh wish we could have seen him sharing the stage with his son Jeff... both of them truly the BEST voices xxxxx ever

If I believed in angels, they would sound like this.
And look like this... What a beautiful angel!

Beautiful
Legend❤️ I love you. Every time.
I have this full show uploaded, albeit in a regrettable youtube quality, but hey!
Tim Buckley - live at Boboquivari full set.
he is a legend ! Maybe not rich and famous as Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin or Hendrix, but he is one of them.
It hurts that a musical God like Tim Buckley went broke at some point in his career
única parte ruim de ser fã de Tim Buckley, é que não tem ninguém para partilhar de seus arquivos e shows e músicas, ninguém o conhece aqui no Brasil.
what an instrument he possesses!
Grandissimo!!!
beauty
WTF.
Beyond comparison.

If he had started out a couple decades later he would have been huge. I didn't happen that way though.
THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. I AM GOING TO DO THIS SONG. LOVE IT. THANKS.

Where do you got the information that this song is called Venice Beach? On Live at the Troubadour it is a instrumental piece. Just wondering.

Tim would have owned the Monterey Pop Festival. Shame he wasn't invited...
