@@tigerlilly6895 I can't stand when content producers for a product fluff the crap out of their lives and friends in the video for a solid 3 minutes before getting to the meat of the video. heck at least they could show themselves using it while doing that.

I'm trying to get this to work with a lavalier mic... but it doesn't seem to work.... even when using an xlr adapter that assists with phantom power. I'm connecting the transmitter to my wireless mic with the xlr adapter and then the receiver into my zoom f3.... no luck.... any ideas?
Missed NAB this year. Dammit. There were so many content creators that were there that I wanted to meet. D4Darious. Caleb. I met you, Josh, at NAB 2018 when you were at the Zhiyun booth. So many great products were announced at this year's show. Regarding the XVive U3, I think it's a worthwhile investment. There is noise in your recording when you go quiet. But, I think it could easily be mixed out without significant loss in audio quality. I've been shooting a feature film since last April, and we've had audio recordings that had lots of background and internal noise issues. All of which were salvageable. I recently bought the Rode Wireless GO and have recorded very good audio with that system. I even used it on a boom mic with production quality results. But, having the XVive U3 system opens the door to more shotgun mics, etc. Good find, Josh.
Tech dependency (whether because of your job, or because of hobby, or worse because of both!) kills the soul Josh. Been there, still trapped in, working on being more spiritual to try to get my soul back. Not a choice, nor a hippie dippie trip: my body and soul begged me for it and I found out it's really the issue here... We end up trying to adjust to a computerized environment and our soul, body and mind ends up sick. Sorry for the off topic "mystic" blahblah... Sharing in hopes to throw some light. Would you recommend this for a dynamic vocal mic (eg Shure SM58) for live use by a vocalist in a band?

You might wanna make sure the levels are the same before talking about noise...? Every test the levels were completely different.
I realy could not hear the noise on the wireless dead mic test even with headphones and volume up high.
