There’s no free transportation for non students but you can actually try to take MRT bus T815 to go around the campus. It just costs around RM1 or RM2 for the bus.
You don't have to wear mask anymore in Malaysia but some will still wear mask to ensure a better safety. The dress code at UM is not that strict but I'll still suggest you to wear long pants/skirts that are lower than your knees and do not wear sleeveless.
Hahaha there are people who really concern about their health so much. What I mean is referring to those people, who still wear masks nowadays even it’s no longer restricted. But majority of the people here don’t care much 😂
谢谢你这个可爱的视频博客 ♥️ my mom is a UM alumna and she has told me a lot of good stuff about the university and I just submitted my master’s application. So your vlog rlly made me fall in love more with UM 🫶🏼
Hi. Fakulti Pendidikan is just right in front of the cafe, library and the central bus stop. You can also walk like around 5 to 10 minutes to Dewan Tunku Canselor from fakulti pendidikan.
Hi there! I just got an acceptance to UM and I would be coming to Malaysia to start the MSc in Sept/October. Would appreciate some insight studying at UM. Also, would like to know what is better? Uni accommodation or private accommodation? Would appreciate some recommendations for that as well. Thanks!
Hi! It’s quite hard to get a placement for uni accommodation. Usually UM students will stay outside of campus as there are 2 types of public buses available to enter the campus. Maybe you can try to apply for the uni hostel first since it’s quite difficult to get the placement. But from what I know, the rate is not much different compared to the private accommodation.
It depends on yourself actually. You may not need friends to accompany you. However, there are group works for you to complete your subjects. As long as you can communicate well with your coursemates, then I think it’s not really a big problem.
UM is not really strict about the hair color and dress code although it’s written in the rules. Anyway congratulations for your new journey at UM and wish you all the best.
Hello. I'm having my Master's Degree in UM this October. I want to ask if there's a Bus or transport from the nearest MRT/LRT to the campus? Also, do you have any reccomendation where in KL is better for me to stay if I study in UM? Like, maybe the general area where it has MRT/LRT/Bus which transport line passess by UM?
Yes. You can take MRT 815 bus from Phileo Damansara station or LRT 789 bus from LRT Universiti station. You can consider Bangsar area (where you can take LRT bus) or SS17 area (where you can take MRT bus) to enter campus.
Hiii i m doing bachelor’s in computer science from pakistan and what do u think is this uni is best for masters in ai and cybersecurity??? It give fully funded scholarship or not??
Hi. I'm a foreigner. I'm interested in studying in Malaysia, specifically in political science (MPA and MPP). Could you tell me what are universities on the top of the ranking in this field? Thank you.
Hi thanks for your comment. I personally think UM offer quite a good course for political science but I would say I’m not the best one to answer this question. It’s better for you to refer more information online. I believe there is a forum discussing about it.
Hey girl...I am seeking master of bioinformatics too.....could you tell me whether the malaya masters worth as in is it recommended world wide....I really want to come there...
I would say if you’re new to bioinformatics. This course will build your fundamental knowledge on that but you have to make sure that your computer is not too old and compatible to work with computational stuffs like installing R Studio. Limitation is the facility could be quite old and don’t really have opportunity to work with large-scale data. But the tuition fee is affordable compared to other well renowned universities.
it really depends. It's easier to make friends when you're an undergraduate student. You'll have to stay at dorm with your coursemate during your first year of bachelor's degree. This will makes you to spend more time with your coursemates. Usually postgrad students will just care about themselves as everyone has different living pace. But I'm lucky enough to meet a bunch of friends when I pursued my master study at UM. We do hang out together to have fun when we don't have class.
@@amalbinu05depends on the location you choose. If you stay at somewhere in SS17, you may get a similar rental rate as the hostel fee. But if you choose to stay at Bangsa area, then it could be quite pricey.
Wow this UM vlog was so aesthetic and informative.❤
thank you so much!
