- Imagine I could have used the full capacity of my battery this whole time? It would have made such a big difference for me. 30000km Berlin to India only on 90% every day. Well, I made it anyways. Just a bummer I can only access 1 of my 3 charging units and it’s not even the big one;) downgrade to standard model I guess. Going to Jaipur now and the traffic friends, the traffic is kinda crazy but I will get used to it for sure!

I’m English. I spent 5 years in India. Working, and travelling. Commuting everyday on two wheels in the city and most weekends out riding in the sticks. Did a 4 month tour as well. I love the place and the people. 5 years was not enough………
Just make riding two wheels a game…..sure it’s tiring, especially at night or in the city at rush hour. But man it’s fun
Head south from Goa to the Western Ghatts if you can.
Extend your visa in Nepal you won’t regret it. Jai Ho

India is diverse. It is said that language and food changes every few miles. Wish you a good stay here in India.
Ik d traffic is bad in India but it varies from State to State, for example in a State like Odisha Traffic rules are so strict, there are speed cams & cctv everywhere and people obey the laws while some states have no civic sense and they don't let the disobeyers pay hefty fines so people take advantage .
Alright 👍🏼
Bruh cameras are everywhere in India. It's nothing new.

As a kid I decided that one day I would ride my bike to India. I’ve learned that it can suck to fulfil your dreams sometimes. But hey, nobody said it was easy. India still keeps waiting for me, but I’m sure I’m gonna make it. One thing I’ve noticed watching your videos : looks like I need a spare horn. Yours is in well usage
Wait a few years.. Many expressways are under construction.
In like 5 years, it'll be a lot easier, a lot of projects are under construction.
@@strikergamer2979 dude, it’s 30 years ago when I was 18. things start to get much harder to achieve these days. I’m not saying that I’ve given up. But it’s getting more complicated to just leave and make a run for the border. Family, job. etc
you will do just fine.
Marc…. Dont hesitate to use the horn … and especially because ur ride is so silent….. it can be extremely dangerous when passing others

In that trailer there is no wheat grain only wheat husk so that's why they are carrying very easily on tractor1

Hey marc love from India 🇮🇳
I was thinking about your bike's charging issue
Try to charge your bike on a 25kw or more powerful charger which has a type 2 charger cable as they are 3phase
And love your videos I'm following your videos since Iran 🇮🇷
Yes will try
Please do as much as vlogs, while you are in India. I enjoy it alot. I love my India❤

I misheard. I thought you said that those trailers were overloaded with weed, not wheat. My first thought was that explains the traffic mayhem.
😂
Your charger is ok and your bike also. The network provides only one phase to the charger at max 32A. The onboard charger in your bike is limited to 16A and because it can only use 1 of 3 chargers this provides only 3.2kW. For more power you need a 3 phase network and wallbox. Only some electric vehicles can use 32A at 1 phase.
All cars can in India
I took the liberty of checking out your specific year and configuration wiring diagram.
You have the following connections on your Type2 port.
Earth
Common Neutral
Live1 - 3Kw Charger single Lower unit
Live2 - 3Kw Charger single Lower unit (premium spec)
Live3 - 2 X 3Kw chargers charge tank
Swap L1 and L3 on the bike wiring going to the Type2 port to have the 6Kw L3 charger on L1 single phase.
This means on any single phase charger you can charge up to 6Kw.
This also leaves L2 and L3 as 3Kw capable, so you can still charge at 12Kw on 3 phase chargers without having to mess about with switches, wiring etc.
Option 2 (I wouldn't do this, but it is possible) Join L1 and L2 for 6Kw single phase public charging, but do not join these and plug in to a 3 phase supply. Bad things will happen. :D
Best of luck!
Johnny @willitmod
Hey Mark do visit Madhya Pradesh if you're still in India. Enjoy the nice weather and do try indori poha. Happy journey.
Hi Marc, I also had a motorbike like yours, if you charge with a maximum 7kw single-phase charger you can charge at 3kw. when you use a three-phase charger you will see that everything will be ok. Thanks for your videos, I always follow you with great interest. Hello and have a good trip.

Regarding your comment about 14.4kWh vs. 17.3kWh battery, if your bike originally came with the 14.4 battery and it has been replaced with the new generation battery, Zero won't unlock the 17.3kWh capacity for you (or the rest of us). 17.3kWh will only be possible if the bike was originally manufactured with that 17.3 battery. That was what I was told, at least, having something to do with how they made their battery retro kit. If you have the new battery on the older SR/F, you do get 15.3kWh capacity available. More than the original capacity, at least.
Welcome to India Marc.. drive safe ❤

I m from India, and right now, India has very limited resources in EV because it has been 3-4 years for India to enter the EV industries. It is still in the developing phase in infrastructure for EVs in India. There are very few 2-wheeler EV dealers in India.
You can check with the nearest Ather dealer but can't be guaranteed that they can fix ur problem wat u are facing. Just you can try it for the hope once.
I was thinking of installing a pair of new tyres for my bike. And I will choose #continental because they support you. Good job guys! Let's do this!

"yay i think i made it" to "holy cow" was awesome :))
2:37 It's Wheat husk, It is used to make plywood, for animal feed, burning fuel etc. It is light in weight, that's why are they are carrying that volume.
3:10 It is not Wheat, I think it is Hay.
When you came in India it was the harvest season hence so many trucks of hay.
This man documented the whole traffic
Pls include food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) videos also if possible...love to see your reactions on Indian food...✌💥
Probably not 😅 and I only eat once a day anyways
11:44 nothing gone wrong that's how they take out the wheat husk😅
Ah ja really?🤣

My understanding of battery life is that it can be severely shortened by charging to 100% on a regular basis. My early Mercedes Benz electric car was designed to cut off at 80% to prolong battery life. It has a switch to charge to 100% but comes with a warning that repeated use will cause early loss of battery capacity. So restricting your charging to 90% may save you from trouble later in your trip.
In the Purs the traffic goes crazy man, watch my words… And follow the little mopeds and enjoy the ride: no stress 😅
Have you ever replaced the battery since starting out? Does the continuous charge and discharge affected your range?
Original battery was already broken when I bought the motorcycle
So many trucks😮 ur friends truck will take ages to reach destination😊
Nice video🎉🎉🎉
It is not wheat but remains of wheat left over after taking out grain
Bro u should visit ladakh ,leh , and pangnok lake u will love it
Hi Marcus, You may have answered this many times, but why don't you turn your red bag parallel instead of perpendicular? It might need a plank at bottom or something to keep from sagging...but would save kwh with better aero. Thx and I am enjoying being along for the ride!
It doesn’t make a difference 🤙🏼
Do travel to ladakh you will love it ...Also come to north east india beautiful place
Come to J&K and you will get , wider roads, less traffic , great scenes and mountains, plains, rivers, snow. You will feel like heaven.
Be ready for the cold climate
If possible do explore either Leh in north or Arunachal Pradesh in east.......you won't regret it.......you might checkout other moto vloggers who visited these places.....its magnificent

Tractor trailors are filled with chaff, also known as 'bhoosa' in Hindi, which is used as cattle fodder. Because the load is light, the chaff is overpacked into trucks and tractors for transportation....
@MarcTravels there is a certain rule which is known in local language as "no entry" it means that goods transporting commercial vehicles and large vehicles, of the city/visiting or passing through the city, can only operate after late evening i.e. at approx. 10-11pm so suddenly all those vehicles waiting whole day jump into action "as soon as No Entry opens" _ now you know reason behind some of the traffic, another factor at play is if you are enroute to a residential side of a city most office goers (majority on two wheels & there aren't mopeds 99% are 125cc or higher motorbikes & scooters) are returning home so you were in the middle of rush hour end and "no entry opening's start, hence: traffic. One more thing those large overload looking weren't wheat instead it is hay and farm feed, there's hardly any weight in it that's why they are able to carry it enclosed in a huge sack like material, all such transport have to first go on weigh scale (known as Dharamkanta) get a recipt of the net weight before plying on road, the recipt can be asked by any traffic officer that's why it's madatory but size wise there's much flexibility so that's why it seems overloaded and yes driving that on road surely requires skilled driver due to such drag that's why you also saw a spillover by some rookie tractor driver. i hope these explanation of some nuances help you understand better, and One thing man, please work on your titles make them more sweeter & inviting they are giving sarcasm vibes please take notice, and for thumbnail include only the truck images which exist in the country, the bedford like truck on your thumbnail doesn't exist in india.
That truck doesn’t exist at all, it’s created by AI;)
That restaurant at the end looked sweet.
Yeah that was really good

@@MarcTravels I say that because back in the day I had a 1974 900 Kawasaki Z1 and unfortunately my youthful mindset didn’t realize the strong memories that a material object like that bike brought me would, could evoke and I sold it, biggest regret ever, I wish I’d of put it in storage somewhere if I wasn’t going to ride it , anyway enjoy your adventure
