Ah the Mountain Hardware Thru Hiker. I have the same one, probably close to 30 years old as well. I guess I’m going to seam seal the rain fly this weekend. 🤣
I ended up getting ridiculously sick camping in that rain on Friday into Saturday, but look forward to doing the match again next year, as someone really new to the NV world I got a lot of lessons learned out of that match.
for real I have spoken to two neurosurgeons about counterweights after a neck surgery and they both said I should even if I had not had a surgery not all weight is equal when displaced. One of the doc's used the listing of a ship with ballast as a metaphor. Bring the weight of the helmets center of balance inline with the spine.
He didn't say he isn't using any weight in the rear. Just that he isn't a fan of adding weights for weights sake. He uses the magazine in place of a weight to achieve the same balance, but with useful weight.
At around @04:45 is that the NVD picking black-body heat from your can; or did the y have folks put some sort of florescent paint on people's muzzles to be able to make sure you weren't sweeping people?
I didn't think the amps could fit underneath that certain cut of a helmet. I was always looking into high cut versions for my amps. Do they fit as comfortably compared to a high cut version?

Dude, you should really tell us what trigger that was. That's a serious safety problem. We should know what company to avoid.
I won't say all are unreliable, but avoiding cassette style triggers is kind of universally accepted to be the play here
He has it in the description.
