    Can't believe companies now leave the work up to the tuners to fix issues from factory. Glad to hear the tune is doing the job! 👍🏼

      As stated my 2013 doesn't have any "issues" I just wanted to keep it that way and add performance. That being said, basically everything can be made better from the factory... This is why the aftermarket exists. Not just talking cars... guns, motorcycles ect

    I was Thinking about doing a tune from Focus Power. I have already had my clutch Replace under Ford's warranty on my 2015 Focus SE for the shuddering issues Last Year in May 2020 and the shuddering has not come back yet, but I don't want it to come back Ever. I have already done some performance upgrades to my Focus already Like FSwerks catback Exhaust system, a cold air intake from FSwerks, MSD 2.0L Ignition Performance Coil Packs, a bigger Diameter Throttle Body than Stock, a Intake Manifold Spacer and Throttle Body Spacer From Boomba Racing. I think a tune is my best Option at working out the kinks in the DCT Transmission. Because when I take it to a Ford Dealer they give me the run around and say that it is normal for the DCT to do that. I know that is not Normal. Great Video of how the tuning works over at Focus Power.

      Bro ik this comment is three years old but did that intake manifold spacer give you any significant gains I see it’s for the ST and couldn’t find much info online if it would bolt right up the same in the NA cars

    Great in depth video man. I currently have a 2.5” ST exhaust from ford with a Green filter and RS lid. Soon getting the upgraded throttle body and SCT tune which should put me at about 200hp at the wheels; 230~240 at the crank. All in $1500 for the mods and tune. Pretty much a naturally aspirated Version of the ST for half the cost and much more reliable. Also recently added paddles which make using the DCT even better.

    Late post here. I have a Ford Focus with DCT too. I did a few mods and no tune. Right now, I have 152,000+ miles on it. No major transmission problems. I only had to replace clutch and slave cylinder twice (both for free) during my 7 year of ownership because I stay ahead on maintenance. I think it depends on how people treat the Focus. Maybe I am one of the lucky people to not run into repeated transmission problems.

      Eryk Nowak it’s not, your clutch is probably already exceeded its longevity. This transmission’s dual clutch doesn’t have a long life span and a little tune won’t do much. This is a mechanical issue no software can help in the end. Just Ford’s inability to chose a reliable component.

    • @jasonashley9853
      @jasonashley9853 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mandotv7308 have you run one of these tunes? It makes a MASSIVE difference in how the transmission runs. I've been running the tune since I got new clutches and 11 months and over 10,000 miles later it's running great. If I was on the stock software I can pretty much guarantee it would be bad with shudder right now.

      Ralphy sorry I didn’t respond sooner, only just saw. I noticed the car tends to be much quicker at lower speeds, no real difference in mpg for me. Currently I’m running the first custom tune after his base tune he gives you, and it’s not much of a difference from the base tune, but I’m hoping my next tune up will help even more in eliminating the weird vibration.
