I would not call these demos. Guitar overdubs were certainly done on a few songs (not all) but the other instrument & vocal tracks were recorded during a live "rehearsal" in the studio. If these were demos, each instrument would have been recorded separately - not live. The band was going through all of these songs in order to determine which cover would make the best B-Side of the 'Pretty Vacant' 7" single. They eventually settled on "No Fun" (also recorded at this session - see PART 2) and all of the instrument & vocal tracks in "No Fun" were overdubbed - making it sound much more "polished". "Substitute", "No Lip", & "Stepping Stone" were likely the other top candidates for the spot. The extra guitar parts probably helped them with the desicion making process.
This box set is amazing, it sounds so good, mixes at a different studio, and the bass and guitar sound more crisp, never mind the bollocks heres the pistols at there best.
This proves that the Pistols just like the Ramones were about reviving rockNroll back to where it left off in the mid 60s before the hippies/leftists ruined it!
This is from fifty years ago and will never get old. Anything the Sex Pistols touched turns evergreen.
Matlock and Cook were so good. Their ability to swing gave Jones the confidence to grow into the powerhouse he became.
No lip great tune.Great sound from the guitar
Thank you for uploading.
You're welcome
There are two guitars, there have been overdubs added. That said, it does sound great. Great band.
8 unreleased are really good as well, it was very impressed like the banter between songs which again is new.
How good is Steve Jones? Instantly recognizable.
Couple guitar tracks.. but it's ok. Still him
demos rather than rehearsal, it seems - certainly more than 1 guitar on display

definitely not a sign of mental illness to bring up "leftists" when talking about 60s music. "the beatles broke up, due to woke."
@@breakfastmachine i mean... John Lennon doing activism and weird shit was a pretty big reason on why the beatles broke up.
The Danned and SP drummer? Edmonton 72?
And some tit said they couldn't play!! Brilliant❤
Hmmmmm?!!!
I think matlock was gay and didnt fit into Malcolm's vision of 'Sexy assassins'
