Dave Goodman decided to record a studio version of this song with different lyrics in the 80s and pretended it was an unreleased pistols track , you can here it on the swendle continues album from 1988 ( retitled judging minds )
I thought the same thing - I was at the Crystal Palace gig, so cool to hear them play Through My Eyes, Silver Machine, and the seldom played Pistols tracks (My Way was pretty cringe inducing though...)
Through my eyes was played in the very early days, prob 1975, Pyschotic Reaction was also played live in 75 along with Go Now a song that Glen sang with John on backing vocals, which Glen thinks must have been pretty shit as he can't remember how it went now.
I wonder what was on the tape Lydon claims in his book the Pistols quietly slipped under his hotel door. He was pissed off they had recorded a new song for a possible new single for the reformed 96 reunion tour. But they didn't let him know about it till it was recorded which just pissed him off.
I remember this as a studio rip called “The Swindle Continues” as “Judging Minds and a little different verse, but this was actually pretty cool, I’ve never heard this as a Creation tune or like a Sonics or Stooges, was that an original in April of ‘76?
Super rare👍👍 merci

Cover of The Small Faces Marriott/Lane song.
Wonder why they never played this at Crystal Palace. I mean they played Through my Eyes and that was never in the live set.

Would have sounded great as a studio version.

Interesting piece of lost media. We gotta try get Steve Paul and Glen to release them.
