Such a wonderful walk through. It was so soothing to have you explain your process and mental connections. I can’t wait to have my own go at this. Looking forward to more of you and all your cool friends in Life Book 2022. Thank you for sharing this in the meantime. Your generosity is much appreciated.
Beautiful. Love hearing you talk and talk about the process of your gorgeous work. Love the color choice. Makes me happy and motivated. I’m off to create. Love you Tamara 💕💕
So beautiful Tam. I love listening to your chitter chatter and hearing about your process. I also love the colours you use, they're so joyful. Thanks for sharing your heart with us ❤🧡💛🧡❤
Please make more videos for TH-cam, Tamara! I get so excited when you have a new one... It's so inspiring to watch you work, and I love to just hear you talk... your accent is so lovely! ❤🇨🇦
It's amazing how I can relate to your ways of creating with poetry or quotes, integration is difficult for me too (very traumatic past, even still. I don't post without a long explanation of how and why I created certain pieces of artwork and written a song or poem alongside. The need to apologise for existing is such a painful PTSD symptom, I over share, I still feel like I have to explain myself for creating differently, casting all the labels aside is so liberating. Though wounds are still raw, I found my higher self and the universe pushing me to practice art in these multi mediums that I never thought I'd be "Good enough", more lovely traumatic past (and present) voices making fun of me for finally finally connecting to that inner child that grew up and beaten down so young, I finally let that creative kid run free. I'm very grateful your Lifebook was the first mixed media art book I bought and found you. You've been a big part of my healing, truly appreciate and love your honest and deep chats, always relatable. PS.. I blame my astrology having Taurus Sun and Virgo moon is such a battle of opposition 🤔 thanks for going deep just now, I'm sorry for the essay but I went reeeal deep with you sister. I'm truly grateful for finding you. I hope to join some classes, I've a big dentist bill so I might not get join til my birthday at the end of April.. loved the tasters So much. Thank you Tamara xxx
I have loved and adored you for years. Your acceptance and encouragement is extended so effortlessly ❤️ You also try to teach and show us to accept our selves and work through the broken. ALL that aside YOU ARE HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE ARTIST OUT THERE.❣️ Your work is so beautiful and amazing. Personally I love color and whimsical, that is my jam, but I come from a very talented family of artist so I appreciate so many forms. You chica are a ROCK STAR. Love your music too. Happy Holidays ❤️🇺🇸 Cathey in Texas
As usual a really beautiful journal spread and girl!! Love your art! And always a joy to hear you talk about the project and your inner thoughts! You're a gem Tamara!!
Wowww...love it. How can anyone dislike this video. What's there to dislike in this video. Someone so talented is sharing her skills, we should be thankful. Crazy ppl. Love what you have done. Love n hugs ❤️
The town where I live has a university who's sports teams' colors are orange and blue. I grew up hating orange just for that reason., I saw it everywhere! Now, not so much! Nice piece! Thank you! Su
She’s beautiful! I love her and your explanation. I found great value in your voiceover! There’s an entire workshop in everything you said! So helpful! Thanks Tam. I’m really enjoying this series and seeing how your art evolves!
I love the diversety of art and I do like mystical abstract art more, becouse that are storys and adventures. I have huge respect of the art work people do when they paint realisum. Art is a book of different, exciting storys. I love art! I made a puzzle for my niece inspiert by your paintings! Thank you for sharing your art
Fabulous episode! As always I'm in awe of what you create, your art is absolutely stunning. I always feel happier after watching your videos! Shortly I'm off to our cottage out in the Swedish woodlands. Of course I'm bringing an iPad so that I can catch up with your videos. All the best, /Ditte S.
This was everything I didn’t know I needed to see and hear on this early morning. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous spread and all of your thoughts on your process. 💗🧡💗
I enjoy all your demonstrations but this one was especially rich. You seemed so relaxed and generous in sharing your story . But you still remembered to add all the useful titbits of information. The process is in itself very instructive. Thank you and stay well.
Thanks Tam! Beautiful as always. And thank you for sharing the way you combine selfcare and making art. That was for me the reason to sign up for LifeBook 2021 and 2022 as well. And it has brought me so much already.💕
I love your art! You’ve inspired many of my pieces cause I just love your quirky style.. have you shared a video with your all your art supplies? I know you mention what watercolors you used but was wondering if you can share what paper, pads, color pencils etc materials basically, you use.
I really loved your conversation during this journal page. The idea of having a dialogue with your creation is a revelation for me. I will have to try that and be more intentional.
I just love your work and your artistry, Tamara. You are both teacher and student and I admire that about you. I would like to know what watercolors you use?
I love your artworks and I can instantly tell when it’s a Tamara Laporte piece. It must be nice to have a style that’s yours and be so committed to it. My art is all over the place and such a mush mash of styles I like, but not my own. I’m hoping one day I will find it. It’s great to watch you create and listen to your commentary. It seems to be very busy inside your head . Thanks for sharing
LoveLove Tamara just love your art I love the magical aspect as I Like to put into my work as well . I also Have conversation and sometimes Talk with the angels when working or higher self . you are such an inspiration
Loved Lifebook2021 this year I learned so much about art and myself. Thanks for sharing and holding my hand on the journey 🙏🏻🤗🎨💛💜This ‘devotion’ journal spread was very insightful and joyful xx
Absolutely loved this video. Throughly enjoyed listening to you share so much about yourself and your artistic journey. You’ve inspired me to go be myself when I paint/create and tune into my inner self. Thanks so very much 💜💜💜
I found your chatter about art journaling very interesting! Never have done journaling to a great extent. I find it too constricting compared to using a single piece of paper. Never had a diary either. Where does the ability to journal come from? Is it something you grow up with or something taught? I would love to delve deep into the art of journals. Thankyou Tam for a great video filled with much skill and love and care. Big hugs!
After participating in a couple of Lifebooks I had adopted your style of portraiture! To me it simplifies the face and makes drawing less scary. However, I still struggle with the doodling. I think I am to tightly controlled to allow myself that playfulness. Any suggestions?
Tamara I would to address something to you. I’ve watched almost all of your videos and see you on Instagram. I love the colors you choose and your subjects. Also you are friends with Jane D and I have a lot of her art supplies. One thing your art did for me was give me permission to be me. I used to draw woman faces and loved making the hair. I would write messages in the hair. I actually would write letters that way. I was in the presence of a wrong person at the wrong time. They criticized my work about writing in the hair. How dumb is that? I was told that I must not mix art with writing. There was a lot said and about 4 critics came and I was done. I buried that thought and never did it again. I always wondered why there is so many rules. But you actually talk about doing what you love 💕 so thanks to you I am a free and happy artist. Another thing on the personal level. I watch you paint and your hands aren’t perfect. Well I got three fingertips amputated and my whole pinky finger on my right hand. You inspired me to go on. I have to paint weird and so be it I do it. I just want to thank you for unlocking me and helping me go forth. Thank you!
HI Claudia, sorry for my later than intended reply, I meant to reply sooner, but life a bit crazy! I'm so sorry to hear some people criticized your art! In some art worlds there are indeed rigid rules, but definitely not in my world nor in the mixed media art community! We are all about freedom, looseness and expressing yourself the way YOU want to express yourself! I'm so glad you kept going and that you feel free to do what you want to do! Proud of you!! Big hugs, much love. 💕 Tam
thanks everyone. feeling very touched and moved by your kind comments! they mean so much to me! ❤️🌟💕
Bam, Tam, she's delightful, smiles and hugs, Carol
