As I watch this video, I am aware this is way above my skill level. However, something I loved that you said during this video is - "It is just a conversation between me and the painting." That really resonated with me because often times I let the painting tell me what it needs or wants- which took me over a year to be able to accomplish. Obviously, I am new-ish to the art world- which is exciting because I have so much to learn, even from watching videos like this that are way above my actual skill level. I am learning so much from all the taster classes- all the new artists and teachers we have been introduced to, as well as you, my new friend!!
Wow!! I have only recently found you on Yt. & I am feeling so envious of your talent. I had an older brother now sadly passed, who earned a very good living from his artwork, & a nephew who also earns his living from his artwork .... & yet I find it difficult to draw the proverbial straight line lol. I love your style & your girls are always so beautiful. I love looking at your flip-through your art journals, & have just today done an art journal page of one of your quirky birds .... not as lovely as your quirky birds, as I do not have any watercolors, so using cheap acrylics. But this weekend, I plan to get some nice watercolors & give them a go. I truly love watching your videos & am now subscribed to your channel. Off to watch how you paint an elephant. Tam, did you know you can keep your palette paper in the book and not tear it out - it lies nice and flat then too till you're ready to tear it out for a fresh page. Thanks for mentioning the paint smell, that affects my decision to buy👍Those Amazon fires really got to me too, how those farmers are hidden away in the jungle burning for agriculture and little we can do about it. We're having a terrible time here in my area with drought, fire, dust storms and dry wind storms, no rain and high winter/spring temps and extreme summer temps forecast. It really is a climate crisis. Scary. So I love this painting and the story behind it, your humour and insights 💖

Just signed up for Life Book 2020 (my first) and I'm so incredibly excited! I also purchased your LB classes from 2015 and 2018 so I'll have plenty to keep me busy until January.
You have become such a dear friend since joining Lifebook 2019 and I cannot bear the thought of not having your wonderful influence in my life while I become the artist I know (thanks to Lifebook and the summits) is in me so I am definitely going to be with you again in 2020. Whenever I have a crisis of faith, I find you somewhere and off I go again. This process you are doing here is truly magical. XX

I want to just say you have become more present in my life at a time I really need it . At the current moment I am following a long with the summit but have already planned on “cashing” in on an early Christmas present and doing life book 2020. I am mom to two beautiful boys , one with special needs. Not until very recently have I noticed my own health has decreased due to not being present and stress of life surrounding the struggles. As a mom I have always just kept going because that’s what I needed to do but currently I am able to take a step back and realize- my body mind and spirit needs serious nourishing. One action is taking life book 2020 , because I need to feed my own spirit if I am going to continue to be the support to my children. So thank you for putting this out into the universe , cause I hear it - I need this! Thank you :)
