I'm old school like you Del and prefer crash bars. I'm also just plain old and like that I can now have a place to mount highway pegs and turn my bike into an easy chair. 😁 Nice straight forward install which says well engineered parts to me also. Thanks Del and Penny for having us over to the shop again. Peace and good health my friends. ❤👍👍

The guy who sold me my bike, said to replace the alternator cover if the bike goes over, it had, so I replaced it. Just a tiny difference in pick up by the Alternator can cause all sorts of horrors, including the need to replace it, the Rec/Reg and the Battery ! He owned the company, which was a main dealer, and is still with us, but not of us, so to speak. Ty Richard C, God Bless you mate :)

Love those 1400s. Engine bars are good for mounting lights, horns or footpegs. But for protection only it would be interesting to compare the cost of the bars vs cost for a new engine case.

OK, it IS me being a detail freak ;-) but those bolts through the spindle would bug me.
I would have preferred to see the mounting recessed into the spindle hole so the dome nut didn't protrude so much.

Both there? - Mainstand, allowing double the hanging space & in almost totally vertical danglement - & NO fogged instruments due to wet towels being draped over the clocks all day! They look great on the bike. Sadly there is nothing I've seen as aesthetically good for sports bikes, at least that I've found.
Those frame sliders as they call them have more chance of rolling a bike than they do sliding. Seen so many bad crashes where they have been fitted

    • @Moonfleet41
