I love your lettering techniques but watercolor paper is the worst for markers bc it absorbs moisture and will dry out a juicy marker quicker than any other paper.
Thanks Lenora! Yes, totally true, but the watercolor paper allows the ink to sit on top a little longer making it easier to blend...and it's all I had at the moment! lol! Thanks for watching 💕

EXACTLY!!! I still left all my wine stuff in there because, well, wine (LOL)...but the hubby helped make some great cubbies for all my markers and it's my favorite space in the house. :)

When we moved we didn't even try to have those rooms as a dining and formal lounge. It was straight to two big adjoining studies for my husband and I. Love it!

I did not like these. They get really dry while trying to letter long words or multiple words in a row. I haven't tried the black. Still like Tombow, Crayola, and Atist Loft over these - and it is not even close.
i think its the ink the are using. i will test mine out again today. Such a bummer because I want to like them so much!
update - the black brush pen works pretty good, the other colors is where they weren't as good and fade out quickly.
Is it really a good idea to be using alcohol based markers on paper meant for water based mediums? Is that maybe why it's drying out your markers really quickly? Crayola I know is water based and Tombow seems like it's water based so it makes sense that those would work well on watercolor paper.
Yumeto my thought exactly it’s probably absorbing a lot more then other papers
I've been testing them out on some 32lb paper as well, and they do seem dry up if you write too fast. Like, the ink is very slow flowing maybe...They probably won't blend at all if you don't use a mixed media or watercolor paper though. But, if you really want blending, Tombow's would be the go to. Hi! You have an impressive stationary collection there in the background. Just an FYI for longevity of markers and pens, store them horizontally so the ink flows better and so they don’t dry out. :-)
yes for sure! Some pens though, like the tombows and karin watercolors say to store them upright, so just make sure to check!
Can you see the ink through the other side of the paper? I have a billet journal so I wouldn’t want to mess it up x:)
Hi Robyn! I just tested it out on my scribbles that matters dotted journal and you can see the shadowing on the back. You probably need to test it, but it might not work for what you want to use it with. Let me know how it goes!

Those are probably water based markers so a little easier to blend. Try watching some of the tombow or crayolas videos. They definitely work differently than the sharpie 🖤

Lol, I do in the end. You just have to work really fast when blending or it won’t blend well 😂. Also, I often hold my pen caps super awkwardly...it’s like I forget I’m holding it, but don’t want it to roll around.

THIS IS!! SO WEIRD!! i've seen two videos about this now and comments say it dries out pretty quickly. mine didn't come with a pencil case tho. i had been using these for quite a while; for coloring and writing but for me they don't dry out at all!! i think it's been three months since i bought these markers from a sharpie event thing in the Philippines but they're still working like normal. it's quite weird seeing that when other people use them it dries out quickly so yep.

sharpie makes an awesome gold oil based paint pen...its not a brush tip, but the gold is pretty cool! not sure it would work on thin papers though!

I'm curious about the fumes -- compared to just regular Sharpies (which are pretty much immediately headache-inducing to me), are these are fumey as regular Sharpies or are they less so, more like other typical alcohol-based brush pens?
I don't smell much of anything with these pens. It writes like a different ink for sure too, so I think the smell is totally minimized! Thanks for watching!
I don't think they are alcohol markers, are they? According to stuff I've seen online, they seem more akin to the Sharpie Art Pens and not the "permanent" (headache inducing) line. According to the info, these don't bleed, so I would have loved to see that in the video...
they are definitely not water based, but the ink is different than the normal smelly sharpies. I couldn't find anything on their website or the box that says what the ink is...maybe I am missing it somewhere. I haven't noticed that they bleed, and I tested it on my journal too. But, you can see the shadow lines through the paper, so I would definitely test it out on whatever paper you want to use.
I think they are probably pigment based like Faber castell PITT artist pens. Although their Amazon listing says they are not archival quality unlike the Sharpie Art pens which are, so the formula is slightly different.

Tbh i didnt like these for drawing, they ran out of color really fast and takes them hours of laying to gain color to the nib which then ran out very fast but i did love the colors

I have a question (plz answer ANYONE) : Are watercolor markers and brush tip pens the same?
Hi! It depends. When you say brush tip, that is the type of tip the pen has on it. Some pens have a cone tip or brush tip or bullet nib etc. watercolor markers is the type of ink. Most types are either water based or alcohol based ink. You can blend water based markers using water. Hope this helps!

Do these sharpies require smooth paper or any kind because I just got them and im scared to try them on plain printer paper and ruin the tip :(
I used watercolor paper in the video to test the ink out, but you should probably use smoother paper to preserve the tips. I like 32 lb paper for a lot of my pens. It's affordable, yet better than cheap copy paper.
Do they bleed through like the thick one you have?
It depends on the paper, but I would say yes just like regular sharpies do

I need one of the big fat black barrel sharpies but whenever I try to look up sharpie brush tips I get these ones. Any help please?
If you were to use these on a greeting card, would water make the color run? What if you were to "laminate" the page with clear packing tape? Would that make the lettering stay put nicely?

What paper did you use? You probably need to use watercolor or mixed media in order for the ink to stay a little wet. 💕💕
I used brush pen and some kind of markers on a sketchbook paper basics
But my result was bad it was big and messy maybe that's not my thing

Does these bleed through?
They definitely will leave a shadow unless the paper is fairly thick. Test it in the back if its in your journal to be safe! Thanks for watching! 🖤

They definitely will show through on thinner paper, and in my journal you can see a prominent shadow. It's still that sharpie ink, so think how regular sharpies would be bleeding through. Hope this helps!!
