I love the muted colors and how everything is accurate to the original cutscenes and art style. The boss trailer only solidified my resolve. And besides if we dont support this project we may never get a proper remake to Defiance/Blood Omen.
It looks like the developers are doing a lot of effort and good work. Thankfully they constructed from criticism instead of just saying if you don't like it don't buy it.
Man compared to the first screenshots of Rahab this new changes on him look incredible and he does not look friendly at all. I can also see, they slightly turned Melchiah a bit darker as well. It's shaping up nicely
It's actually SABER interactive who's developing this game. Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr are just publishers tryna steal credit. Same thing CD did with the og Blood Omen and Silicon Knights. Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr has developed nothing. In fact it's them who tried to make demands like the artstyle being more bright and cartoony, or the feminine statue being more masculine, in hopes of appealing to as many people as possible instead of just the niche "goth audience". It's *SABER* who's listening to the fans, much to the discontent of CD and Aspyr.
To be fair it's not exactly the same as OG BO1. Crystal did actually employ artists, designers etc to assist in the development of BO1 and even transitioned to developers because of it.
@@Lucian-d9c @@Lucian-d9c you want a source for cd actually assisting development of BO1? Seems yt is blocking links but check the credits, sk faq behind the scenes section on dark chronicle, cd interviews or even the court case documents. It's covered in a number of places and even wikis have the sources that I can't link. Sk couldn't finish the game so a contingent of cd designers was flown in to assist in development, redesign the game to make it playable and get it over the line. And that by hiring those guys cd accelerated their own transition to full developer. The guys that worked on BO1 did end up being the heart of SR1 - including Amy who was credited as a design manager.

*SABER* is the developer of SR remastered, and of the Tomb Raider Trilogy!
Aspyr is a publisher, and Crystal Dynamics is just the "franchise holder"!
Didn't know it was Saber Interactive. Now I know. Thanks for the Info.
I'm glad Crystal Dynamics still has the soul Reaver franchise because the voice actors, man, they are phenomenal.

Now I'm so looking forward to this game, I was looking forward to it before but I am ready excited to play it when it comes out.
Great summary! The changes look absolutely amazing!
15:00 Never saw this before due to PS1 limitations, but now it's clear as day. Does Dumah's helmet reminds you of someone? Some absent king maybe? xD
@sniper1424 I saw that, too... when I watched the New Trailer. I think it fits him perfectly
@@Citizen_JV It really does!

I just hope they didn’t remove the blood and the gore of the game.
