    thanks for clearing my doubt.. i thought both mitosis and meiosis took place in zygote... but now i know that only mitosis take place in zygote and meiosis takes place in gonads which are a consequence of mitosis

    Is not the zygote a human being at the earliest developmental stage possible? If not, when are the requisite number of mitoses necessary to define the human being?
