Great video Lance. After watching several times, I thought I was fully loaded to split my tractor for a clutch job. Could you imagine my surprise when I split my vintage MF-135 (1967) and found that it was a single clutch and only had one input shaft ???? The entire gearbox configuration is different even though it is equip with same hydraulic devices............I am stumped.

G Day Roland, I have not heard of a single clutch 135 before, you would wonder why someone would buy one when the dual clutch makes them a lot nicer to use. May have been a budget model.

Excellent videos. You make it look easy! I have a question. I have a TO-35. Can this assembly/live pto shaft be removed Without having to remove steering box and entire transmission? My seals are leaking into the bell housing.

I think so, the early tractors would let you pull the lower shaft forward and drop the gear the later ones no. But I think it would be worth a try.

hi Lance excellent video as always , im currently at the same job on a 78' 135 , on my front input shaft housing there is a small bit of oil weeping from the little hole in the housing , does this mean the seal is shot ?

Lance, apologies for a stupid question. What sealant do you use to stop gaskets for the hydraulic pump or side inspection panels from moving when reassembling? Also, when fitting the gearbox back onto the rear of the tractor, there is no gasket (metal on metal), I am sure I remember seeing you use a loctite but cannot find the video to confirm which one!

Gasket retention Indian shellac, maybe copper spray or the Ultra copper. Machined surfaces that never used a gasket... I'm a little hesitant to comment on as I'm not exactly sure what piece you are referencing.

If it is a paper gasket I use grease or aviation gasket but metal on metal it is usually Loctite 515 or similar.

@@ShainAndrews the gearbox to rear of the tractor, immediately it would be the hydraulic pump housing. It's a metal on metal flange.
