Yes, he was only part Jarvis, but his personality was most informed by the part that was Jarvis, and his memories were likely of Jarvis to some extent. It would've been nice to see the two interact with the dynamic they had here shifted a bit and seeing them adjust to that. Imagine a scene where Tony is warning Vision against something, in a friendly but concerned way, and Vision just looks at him and says "Sometimes you have to run before you can walk".
Vision didn't get a lot of time to develop in general. He was born in Ultron, in the background of Civil War, and then he was hunted in Infinity War while Tony was off planet. That said, it's entirely possible that if we ever get some solo Vision stories, he might have flashbacks where he and Tony got to interact. There was plenty of time for those two to get to know each other better off-screen.

@@michaelesposito2629 Oh? do you know of some experimental plane that is still classified? The SR-71 is the highest flying plane. Yes, there HAVE been planes that have gone higher, but that is only because they literally had rocket boosters attached to them. In the case of the X-15 it was even ferried by a B-52 to the B-52's max altitude. The fact is, is that the sr-71 is the highest flying PLANE, manned rockets and airplanes that need a boost from another plane don't count.
@Yuri DeKhed that was not SUSTAINED flight. he used ALL his boost to obtain that altitude (and completely scrapped that plane). He just got his plane going as fast as he could then pointed himself skyward, afterwards he had to glide his plane in because his engines were completely fried. Additionally, with a 2 rocket payload, the max altitude was 78,000 feet (and it could only reasonably sustain that altitude for about 5-10minutes) and with the standard 4 missile payload it was ~68,000 feet. The MiG-25 was even unable to launch its rockets above 85,000 feet. The Sr-71 could hold 95,000+ for HOURS at Mach 3+ and level flight. If an Sr-71 was *wasted* like Alexandr did his MiG-25 it would reach atleast 150,000+ feet.
@Yuri DeKhed The question is "highest flying" not "highest altitude reached." Flight is NOT freefall (which is what the MIG-25 does to reach anything over 85,000 feet)
Still the most badass introduction of a super hero. Watched it in 2008-2009. Got chills that time and still today. RDJ played Tony and Iron man to the absolute best. I knew it was start of something special from Marvel.
Fun fact J.A.R.V.I.S. stands for: just a rather very intelligent system. And F.R.I.D.A.Y. stands for: Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth.
The shots of him flying up and aiming straight for the moon have a subtle poetry to them now. It's like subconsciously, primally, he knew he had unlocked not just a new destiny for himself, but an entirely new tier of destiny for humanity.
Tony’s reaction just does it for me 3:06 I think we can all say we’ve had the same reaction knowing that when you build something with your hands especially by yourself and it works there’s no better feeling.
No current gen mcu is going to compare to the excitement this scene holds for me. The thrill i feel just by lookin at the scene. Fuckin out of this god damn world
There's a subtle evolution in Tony's movement with the armors in every movie, in the first one they are clunky and sort of stiff, because every system is still hydraulic and electric, he moves like a robot and sounds like one, up until Infinity War when e switches to the Nanoarmor, he now moves like a man in tight clothes, way smoother, it's great detail work from the CGi guys that's easily missed and goes almost unnoticeable.
MCU designed him to be a man in a suit proportion. Later they gradually changed to Superhero proportion beginning with Mark 7. Robert does not have that body type.
You'd be amazed at the amount of CGI used in modern day films and how seamlessly it's implemented. Much easier to use a wrecked cobra 3D CGI model than to actually drop a weight on a replica that can cost upwards of $20-30k
Sea Anemoanemiaeia don’t get me wrong I really like all the Iron man suits except the one in Infinity War the new one lost the sense of realism that the previous versions had. I just really disliked the new one
Never really acknowledged this before, but the HuD at 0:56 is perfectly synched up; Shutdown Aborted flashes as soon as Tony interrupts Jarvis, Weather, ATC, and ground control all appear as Tony lists them. Gotta love the attention to detail.
I remember watching this scene for the first time when I was 9. The music, the CGI, RDJ'S stellar performance... it really felt like a dream. This movie along with Raimi's Spiderman and the first Transformers movie were one of the highlights of my childhood.
I remember this on the big screen back in 2008. 2nd PG-13 movie I saw (I was 8). I was completely awestruck by the music & the suit. My family loved it so much that my dad took us to the drive-in to watch it again. Good times
Mark 2 is definitely the coolest looking suit. It may not have the most features, but I think it's a lot nicer than something like the mark 42, or any red and gold one.
This science gets me everytime. Literally my most favourite scene in the entire iron man trilogy or any of his suit ups. The way he finally reached the border of the atmosphere and he is about to fall because he didn't calculate for the "icing problem" It represents the balance between scientific drive and discovery as well as potential danger and destruction and it all comes together as he nearly hits the ground. Love it so much. All in 4 minutes no less.
All these years later, even after the Avengers movies, even after the conclusion of the whole Infinity Saga with Infinity War and Endgame, some of the early classics like Iron Man 1 still hold up damn well.
I kind of miss the heavy, mechanical movements of the older armors. And I loved how there were a lot of moving parts.

With that suit also having the capability to not only fly above the sr-71 blackbirds record, but to also be able to fly in space
Jesse ybarra why use sr-71 as an example? It’s not even the highest flying plane.

Tony did exactly what he told us he was gona do. Break the record
The way Tony's having fun and not knowing what awaits him in the future makes me happy and sad at the same time.
The shots of him flying up and aiming straight for the moon have a subtle poetry to them now. It's like subconsciously, primally, he knew he had unlocked not just a new destiny for himself, but an entirely new tier of destiny for humanity.

Well, it's the easiest car to get a hold of cheap replicas for. Plus, it was probably CGI anyways :P
Jacinth Gudetti def not cgi
You'd be amazed at the amount of CGI used in modern day films and how seamlessly it's implemented. Much easier to use a wrecked cobra 3D CGI model than to actually drop a weight on a replica that can cost upwards of $20-30k
For example, most of the fire and scenery (including the canyons) in Mad Max Fury Road were CG

This science gets me everytime. Literally my most favourite scene in the entire iron man trilogy or any of his suit ups. The way he finally reached the border of the atmosphere and he is about to fall because he didn't calculate for the "icing problem"
It represents the balance between scientific drive and discovery as well as potential danger and destruction and it all comes together as he nearly hits the ground.

The first Iron Man is such a good movie.
All these years later, even after the Avengers movies, even after the conclusion of the whole Infinity Saga with Infinity War and Endgame, some of the early classics like Iron Man 1 still hold up damn well.
