Mental strength is the main reason I'm loosing most of my matches. During training and friendly games I play very well and everyone tells me that I've become better. But when I go to a tournament I play super bad and always loose. I won't forget the day when I was about to quallify for the eliminations round at a national kids table tennis tournament and it was 9-3 for me at the counter game. And because of my weak mentallity I was not able to win the game and I didn't reach the eliminations round. 😢
yeah... 3. I wish, but lot of oponents try to rush the game at that very moment :D Sometimes I am not even ready and they serve to trick me. I never stop the game, because instinctively I will touch the ball anyway. If I have time (or serve on my side), I tell myself: This is my game, I won't let you take it from me. This in mine!
Play as if it means nothing, when it means everything. I remember Steve Davis saying that, but it's probably an old quote. The best players seem able to play close to their practice game. The rest of us tense up. It helps to know we all experience that tension, nobody is immune to it.
Played a tournament a few days ago. I had a guy 2-0 in games. Ready to win. My guy cam back 2-2. Then, in final game (it was a best of 5) he had me 5-0 but I didn’t stop. Came back 6-5. Even game from then on until I beat him 11-8. Then went on to win gold
My opinion is that, it is not about Technique or Mental toughness, it is about your level. You loose and you think your mental is weak, no, it is because your technique is not enough. It is not your completed technique if you done it in normal match but fail it in important match. The only thing you have to do is practicing more and more. For example, you could use backhand attack but not really good, so in crucial moment, you would fail with your backhand. Obviously, you need to practice until your backhand is quite easy easy, like it must be done certainly in any moment, and you will realize that the backhand would become your weapon, your hammer to smash everything, to finish everything, your backhand is inevitable ! That is it !
I think focus and only think about the present will help alot At high level focus, you won't be distracted by the noise and how do people think about your performance Thinking about your results just make up panic more
Mental game is one of my weaknesses when im down big i tend to give up. When im down 2-0 i lost hope and when my opponent hits an edge or a net consistently i easily get frustrated.
I take a time out and walk a little bit and talk to myself and think about playing alone with myself so I will get my mental strength back and feel more comfortable.
Best wins i had was when the judge suddenly said its over you won, I only care for one thing !! Is to play table tennis as correct and perfect i can. I dont care if i loose, i care about doing good play :-)
mental strength is a tough one, more difficult than the techniques. Normally plays well in practice, but naturally become nervous in crucial points. Or could lose the game when you are leading. Mental strength determines the physical performance. When I tell myself to relax but the body cannot. It needs practice just like techniques.
As an "amateur player", my mentality tends to fall if: 1) the opponent's skill is far superior; 2) if the opponent scores consecutive points (or multiple points in a set) from the ball hitting the net or hitting the edge of the table.
I slow down my rhithm and try to relax my body and not think of so much things and forget about the surroundings and people around also I try not to think about my opponent at all in any way

Lose.
1. Just a game.
2. I practice tight score situations, and remember fundamentals.
3. Breathe and take my time..

Coach, what blade is better, stiga clipper or tibhar stratus powerwood???
Depends how u play. If you like to loop then the powerwood would be best. If you’re a flat hitter and like to block then the clipper
@@shameless1047 Thanks for answer.
@@shameless1047 So powerhood is faster isn't it??
@@pingpongmasters7424 than the classic clipper id say yes

I have a big problem in this area. I think resilience is the right word to use rather than strength.
Gambling is what ZJK use to train his mental strength. Sadly, it didnt end well for his life.
