All you have to do is loosen the motor mounts and frame mounts near the swingarm and it will open up slightly and you can easily slide the swingarm in place
Great Video! Nothing like seeing a master of his craft in action. Makes me feel good to see even a professional sometimes hammers on a screwdriver as well!😂
I found this vid looking for info on tensioning the drive belt. I notice how dang easy you were able to get it and I don’t understand😂 my bikes been down for 2 years but I just got new forks so I can get it going again (also replaced the belt) and I cannot get the tension tight enough. Is it the peg brace that makes it so you can pry down on the motor?
Hi, do you recommend anyone with a little bit of knowledge with old Motocross bikes to tackle this as my nephew's drive belt has just snapped & i like your video as you show everything that needs to be done. How tight to you recommend the belt to be fitted (roughly) please, any help would be appreciated, thank you 🙏🏻
Great video! I have done this on my motorcycle and it seems like it works great on your surron on as well! Where did you get your vans kickstand foot? That's cool!
how did you get the swingarm lined back up so quickly at 3:50? i spent over an hour trying, those stupid metal spacers are the issue...theres fucking no clearance...i couldnt make any progress so i shaved those spacers slightly. was still a struggle. what the fuck.
After several belts you will know how to do it in 10 minutes without remouving swing arm, just remove the axle and motor pulley cover ;-). nice trick tho
@@jaretmaccanico3515 you can try leaving the swing arm in and dropping the jackshaft out the bottom. If you have a peg brace you will have to remove it so the jackshaft has enough room to come out
3/8 rod and length is 6” 5/8
BRILLIANT.
How long did it take you to do all of it?
@@Johnsack349 I can do one in 10 minutes or less
@@Surron_Lort I think I have to fix mine😭
god you are amazing. short, concise, and even pinned the question i was going to ask. you are a gentleman and a scholar sir!
Keep doing videos, you are really good at explaining
What a great time saver idea, thanks for making great video and not trying to be a comedian like the others.
For real the second he out the bolt in (with ease) I was astonished.
Literally the best video i can find on youtube showing this process, great work!

Wasn’t that bad. I can do one in 10 minutes not filming
Awesome video, super organized demo
good stuff, thanks for sharing....
what thickness is the rod?

Haha sometimes!! you mean everyday
Very precise. Perfect video.
Wish i saw this video before the 2 hours of bs i just went through, haha. Will do this in the future.
Absolutely brilliant
Glad I got mine with the chain conversion
You did the right thing, this job was murder. Is the chain noisy?
@@Ukmongoose3 a little bit noisy compared to belt
How do I know if my belt is too tight or too loose? Thanks for the video
You want just a little play. So if any debris get in it won’t snap it.
@@Surron_Lort like a chain almost? Thanks for responding 💯
Thanks for the great video you’re a lifesaver
Man that is so smart! Awesome!
One of the best hacks ever.
Love to see u using the cardboard that came with the surron as a Stand, gang shit.
But fr, this shit so wobbly i think i need a stand at some point xD
You can purchase a 3/8” bolt from any hardware store as well. Thanks for all the tips, it was a very smooth process.

I love the kickstand shoe....
I think I didn’t put but the swing arm washer that you mentioned around 5:45, how screwed am I?
Great video! Thank you
You are killin me bro :D Where did you get this tiny shoe for your kickstand from and what size is it :D ?
Will this process work with or for Eride pro SS belt pulley shifted completely to left and now bike is unrideable
Great video! I have done this on my motorcycle and it seems like it works great on your surron on as well! Where did you get your vans kickstand foot? That's cool!
Nice Job!
Good morning what’s the belt size by chance?
Why do surrons have a belt and a chain?
Bro where u get the shoe for the kickstand I need me one 😂
Thx dude, good job!
my lever thing by my belt isnt clicking? why?

Still way easier than replacing a whole gearbox 🙏

I don't see how that's possible. Make a video. Prove me wrong please
That won’t work unless I take out the peg brace.
I would remove the power source from the bike when working on it.
Breaker is turned off but also good advice! 🤟
@@Surron_LortI would, because I’m an idiot.
Nice ! Thank you !
How long does the belt last?
Depends on how you ride it honestly.
You d best
what’s the rod size?
3/8
Doing this sucked. I don’t know if any of the other methods are easier but if anyone’s wondering, definitely think about doing it another way.

no mobile1 grease on anything, interesting. This is why I don't buy anything used. People don't know how to properly maintain anything
You didn’t see any doesn’t mean I didn’t. I put so much grease on my belt.
@@Surron_Lort on the belt wtf? , talking about suspension shafts, pivot points and bearings. Sure you did guy.
@@ericthedesigner gotta grease the belt
You bet grease the belt
I'm trying to maintain my surron properly. Where should I be greasing?
