Please find more details of this horrific plan in my comment. YT not allows links but you shouldn’t have a problem search subject as I shared exact titles. Hard to believe that under this CR administration it is happening. My ❤ is with CR. Thank you Sarah 🙏
Those points are only one sided expressions from an interested party. Also, at one point you say new law, regulations, and then public hearings, yet all of this seems proposed, not finished. Just want the facts, not advocacy.
This is straight out of the World Economic Forum playbook. I am sure Costa Rica has been forced into this as a condition of their IMF loans, otherwise known as a “debt trap. He who pays the piper calls the tune.
In Costa Rica there are many laws, but no one to enforce them stopping a farmer from going avocados or papayas on his property is going to be a long unfruitful task
Thank you SO MUCH for reporting on this! Please continue. We need to wake up the masses to what is going on in the world and what has been going on for many, many years now. They want us broke and dead and we need to fight this. I hope there are more and more protesters. I am getting organized myself to come there. Selling my house in Canada and getting a place there. I don't want to go to El Salvador, Nic, Pan, or Guat. I have been there 3x and LOVE it. We must FIGHT for what we want. This is all the total playbook and always with no vote for the people. Climate change is a hoax as I know many who read this know so this is all a BS land grab. Casinos and liquor stores? Give me a break. We all need to rise up everywhere in the world. And I know people are really starting to wake up to it all.
As was mentioned in the last Costa Rica President's press conference ... The Costa Rica Government is actually fighting this which is a ordinance ... important point to make before blindly attacking the Costa Rica Federal Government.
The Costarrican government sucks, is killing little farmers... Costa Rica doesn't produce even rice and beans, not because farmers don't work.. because importers have big businesses and the government is defending them
Under the PLAN de ORDENAMIENTO TERRITORIAL de PEREZ ZELDON, the municipality of PZ is planning to: * Implement regulations that may force farmers to relocate to cities. * Require large, yearly investments of money for permits controlling the crops farmers grow and the animals farmers raise. * Restrict land owners from passing property rights to their children and families by making it illegal for them to legally divide land parcels. This looks “green” at first glance. But what does this look like in the long run? Small, local farming families that have passed down land and farming practices for generations will no longer be able to afford to do what they have always done. They will be forced to move to cities and may have to depend upon government subsidizing to meet their needs. Farm lands, which are the sources of our food and water, will be regulated and controlled. As farm lands are abandoned, they are up for grabs. Ironically, while churches and family homes can not be built under this new plan, casinos, nightclubs and hotels WILL BE PERMITTED. All in the name of “protecting the growth and development of land.”
Remove the church= remove the values of the community. Force the small farmers into the cities where they can be controlled. Have the Large Farms take over the prime growing land and feed kickback money to the politicians who enforce these regulations. This will drive people out of the country. They are fixing a problem they don't have, but someone will get rich.
Thanks for the news. This is terrible for the locals trying to make a living or exist on the small farms! This type of erratic and drastic behavior by the government could have a terrible impact on new expatriates thinking about moving to Costa Rica.
Yes for sure. But more for the local population and natives of Costa Rica. Perez is an amazing area and this could spread to other areas of the country
@@SarahElenaDesignsLife This is terrible for the Ticos there. I was down there in January and observed all the small farms. I hope they can turn it around.
what is the public statement on this? it's not going to be good for climate change or the environment if they need to start importing more food. This has all-around negative implications for the country, sending love! 💚✌
Great video!, We went to Santa Teresa in December and whereas it is an amazingly beautiful place. I wonder how local ticos can afford to live there. Everything seemed really expensive. I feel like the locals are getting priced out. Maybe that would be an interesting topic to have on your program. Thank you for everything. You should see the guilty faces of these "leaders" leaving the Salon Comunal in shame. A crowd of over 10,000 peaceful and patriotic demonstrators surrounded the salon.
The WEF is encouraging companies to get rid of farmers. The same thing is happening in Canada, where the present government is doing everything that they can to make the lives of farmers difficult to the point that they give up or go bankrupt. This is happening worldwide, to countries that are involved in the WEF. Small farmers are being taken over by the larger companies, that will switch over to factory created food. The fact that this legislation was passed so quickly, especially in Costa Rica, proves how this is against families and for corporations that will follow the WEF guidelines.
thank you sarah for the explanation, i saw this in the local news station for PZ that i follow on youtube was looking for an english and full explanation, GREAT JOB! im moving back to PZ in 7 weeks this is very sad to watch... woke liberals are ruining the planet!!!
There is also a goal to move people to one big City per county, where there would be highrises up to 10 stories high for people to live. The idea is to build up, not out, to preserve more of the land surface.
Yes, they are calling them eco barrios and one is being planned for Daniel Flores. Huge tax cuts for companies building these, especially if there are shops, pharmacies, etc on the street level of the buildings. So yes, they claim build high means less ecological footprint, and reduce carbon emissions by reducing driving (shops are under your apartment) but how is this eco when the reality is farmers have been pushed off their land to be dependent upon cities to meet their needs? And who grabs the farm lands? Which, let’s remember, are also where most of the rivers and creeks are located. Take the land and water out of the hands of the people?
Because the rich foreigners dictate what can and can't be built or grown around them. They move to this beautiful country and build their mansions and gated communities, and then because money talks, they lobby the government to make laws in their favor.
WOW this sounds extremely terrible at first blush. It makes me wonder 1. What the 'stated' objective is, and 2. What the 'underlying' objective really is. This all stands to affect us directly because my wife and I are relocating to Perez Zeledon later this year!

@@PAINT_S_CAPES yes agreed! Well the source I spoke to said it looks like a page out of the world economic forum which pushes people to live in city environments and eliminates these independent farmers which we’ve seen happen in many other places of the world

Bullseye this is the WEF globalist agenda terrorist agenda as it is worldwide and wanting to destroy the farming industry.

Let’s see what happens. The country and its people are strong 💪
In Costa Rica there are many laws, but no one to enforce them stopping a farmer from going avocados or papayas on his property is going to be a long unfruitful task
