Godzilla is able to stay on top of the water because he’s able to control his own internal buoyancy. Scuba divers can do the same thing with the equipment they wear. That is why they do not float to the top with a tank of air on their back and the air in their lungs, but Godzilla has natural buoyancy control.
Noriko is the GOAT of this movie, I'll die on that hill. Better odds than the war. Toward the end, Japan was throwing its forces into battle with less training, less supplies and bad gear. The Kamikaze were straight up a waste of manpower as most were shot down or missed the target. So basically they were sending people to die for little or no effect. The speeches in this movie... just damn.
Bros will know. I love how so many men are devastated when Noriko pushes Shikishima into the alley and the shot of him screaming with the black rain coming down. I think every guy realized the tragedy of not telling your woman that you loved her, until it's too late. Ugh. I think every man will feel that to his core. Great reaction! This was such an epic film! I am so amazed and grateful that this film was made!
sumiko's accusation is based on the kamakaze pilots are responsible to dive into American aircraft carriers to prevent American bombers took off from them to bomb Tokyo.
You guys are awesome. I’m a first timer here and became an instant subscriber. Me and my daughter agree that this movie deserves to be seen in the theaters. We missed it of course. My guess is it was shown probably around 60 miles from where we live. If I knew it was this good… it would have been well worth the drive. We watched it together at home and yeah.. The Noriko blast broke me down hard. This is hands down the best Godzilla movie we have ever seen and the best movie I have seen in recent memory. Redemption stories ROCK!
Thanks man! We’re sad we missed this one in theaters too could you imagine how crazy it would’ve been? Was so happy to see Noriko survived. Now I’m hearing all about G-cells? What?!
@@brosnshows Yeah. The only reason Noriko survived was because of G cells that got to her from the blast. That could lead to all sorts of possibilities but for now… They can have the happy family that they’ve always deserved. Maybe even some little Noriko’s and little Sikhishima’s along the way.
Everyone forgets that the whole "this plan should sacrifice 0 lives" failed. The underwater decoy team blasting his roar to draw him to the bay all died
There's a difference between (1) people dying during combat duty and (2) the plan being that they were always intended to be sacrificed and die. They knew that many or all of them could potentially die, but they weren't going to throw people unnecessarily into the meat grinder just to save their own asses or for "honor".
I would say Godzilla has some sort of swim bladders to trap air/gases to stay afloat, and his tail probably helps stability. imo. At the end of the war Japan was a reduced to zero, the appearance of Godzilla put the country at -1.0. Noriko was infected with G-cells thus survived.
@@brosnshowsG-Cells are Godzilla cells, since Godzilla can regenerate whenever he gets hurt. Noriko probably got infected by G-cells when she fell into the water. She also more than likely did die, but due to getting infected with G-cells, her body was regenerated thus the reason why she is alive.
Godzilla's tail is twice as long as he is. Also its very powerful. If his tail is underneath the water moving causing him to protrude above the surface of the ocean. Alligators know how float on the surface of water. Whales slept in an upright position just below the surface without sinking . Godzilla is a sea monster with a extremely long tail.
For Toho's Godzilla 70th anniversary, they reimagined the 1954 "Gojira" with a streamlined story focusing on survivor's guilt and redemption, presenting a life-affirming theme. This contrasts with the original, which featured a convoluted love triangle amid a morality tale. "Godzilla Minus One" also removed the Bushido Code element retained in the original through Dr. Daisuke Serizawa's sacrifice. In the 1954 version, the villagers on Odo Island revealed that whenever the kaiju appeared, their ancestors would sacrifice a young maiden to the monster. However, in the new version, they offer farm animals, in line with Toho's mandate that Godzilla will not eat any humans on screen. Since Godzilla is a sea creature, it knows how to float and balance itself above deep sea water. Some viewers had issues with Noriko surviving the Ginza attack, missing subtle hints that she was almost fully healed by the end. Similarly, Shikishima healed from the head trauma from the boat chase and the black eye from Tachibana after being exposed to the irradiated black rain from Godzilla, following his loss of Noriko. On the other hand, Shirō “The Kid” Mizushima’s arm, injured in the Godzilla boat chase, remained in a sling because he was not in the Ginza destruction and thus never exposed to Godzilla's regenerative G-cells.
After the plane blew G's head off and we saw his body fall in pieces, and we saw at the end a piece of G regenerating itself, what if all the pieces regenerated themselves into many Gozilla's. A sequal, "Godzilla plus 50."
Godzilla Minus One ( Godzilla - 1.0 : Japan original Poster ), because after war Japan was down to zero, Godzilla bring it down even more to the minus point. So therefore "Godzilla Minus One". About Shin Godzilla, it also another good godzilla film from Japan, you guy should check it out. Thanks for the reation.
Y'all, keep in mind Noriko held on for dear life inside a train split in two, dropped into water, swam out, got out on the street, and collapsed. At that point, the only reason she got up was because Koichi found her, and was leading her. She wasn't going to tackle Koichi, and assume the most she could do was give a push. I think she did what she could. Ya, the tail and legs are the main things keeping Gojira upright, and something close to neutral buoyancy. Komodo Dragons, Iguanas, and other lizards are strong swimmers, and assume many dinosaurs were as well. As Noda said, Gojira is an aquatic creature. Gojira can tread water. AS others have stated, Godzilla is an aquatic creature. As such it has swim bladders and it's tail to remain stable on top of the water when it wants to. Fish, gators, and many other aquatic animals have ways to chill out wherever they want with little or no effort.
People were running to get in front of him because he was wiping out everything behind him with this tail. Also, the people couldn't just get off the train - it was stopped on an elevated track.
Godzilla is like a dinosaur like lizard originally, and the nuclear bomb Helen of Atoll that was used at Bikini of Atoll on July 25th, 1946 which was like a year after the end of World War II and a year after the attack on Odo Island, that nuclear bomb irradiated Godzilla, mass mutating him and his properties. Lizards have the ability to grow some things back. The mass mutation resulted in Godzilla’s mass regenerative properties.
Godzilla is boyant and has a massive tail working underneath. Also, and this is important, he's fictional and can do whatever he needs to for the story. He survived a nuclear blast, mutated to a giant monster, has atomic fire breath, and can regenerate from any wound, even getting his head blown off and falling apart. So I'm gonna choose to believe he can also float in water. (All meant in good nature ribbing)
That’s a good point too lol I just saw the underwater shot of him and I’m like wait how? Sorry I’m not super versed in buoyancy 🤣 appreciate the comment bro

22:07 most incarnations of Godzilla have regeneration like Heisei Godzilla, Millennium Godzilla, Shin Godzilla, Godzilla Earth, Godzilla Ultima even Monsterverse Godzilla has regeneration. Minus One Godzilla is 50.1 meter tall and Monsterverse Godzilla is 119.8 meters tall.
If you recall the wooden model floating in the saline water model that Doc cooked up to demonstrate the plan, Godzilla is evidently able to be buoyant or submerse himself, similar to a submarine. He doesn't have to "stand" to rise upright in the water, partially due to his huge tail.
Godzilla uses his tail to keep himself upright in the water much like Alligators or Crocodiles and Dolphins along with buoyancy control . His legs with those thick thighs help tread water as well .
