This is exactly why I only buy games which I want to play online. Everything else I just pirate. It saves me a lot of money and by the time a game I bought gets taken down, I already played it for a long time so I don't care too much.
A game i love thats a good example is Valheim. The game is $20 and so many people bought it, they could have left it there and charged for the new biomes they release every year or two. But instead theyre still keeping those biomes as part of their game. Its a game in early development but even games in early development charge for microtransactions, for new maps, skins etc. Valheim releases tons of content and its still part of the core games price.
Elden Ring isn't breaking any trends, it's just followng its own trend. FromSoft have been releasing the same game over and over for over a decade and people allow it just like they do with games like COD. FS's souls games are still plagued by being horrible on a tech level to this very day which is why ER only played well with a PS4 copy on PS5. FromSoft are horrible like the rest of the industry, just in a different way.
Why do people say bfv was lackluster or bad? it was a really good game. It launched bad but thge game itself brought so much to battlefield (that they scarpped for 2042 for some reason) the gun play was at its peak, crouch running, vaulting, rolling when falling from high points to reduce fall damage, going prone on your back, sound effects were good, maps looked great although some did suck, ttk was good till the changes, attrition i honestly liked made vehicles a lot less annoying, squad points meant something. I think it was just overall a good addition to battlefield. Had hate because the way they marketed it, people were mad at female characters in ww2 cause their immersion, those 2 things plus the bad launch just cemented the game as a bad game, when the game itself was the best in terms of movement, gunplay added animations and so on.
I think the game is around a 6-7/10 and to be honest I joined in on battlefield during a time where they were focused on making modern shooters. I love WW2 history but it wasn’t what I wanted at the time. I go back now and I think it’s a decent game but it doesn’t feel like battlefield to me as much as BC2-BF1 did. It’s hard to put my finger on but just my thoughts on it
@Freelancer837 that is a 100% false statement. everything battlefield has always had bfv had plus more. You're saying that because 2042? bad company 2 was different in tone then every other battlefield, even the mechanics worked different but it's regarded as many as one of the best if not the best in the series. Hardline was completely different too, so "that's when battlefield stopped being battlefield" is the most false statement someone can make.
If they want to close the old servers i understand it.BUT they have to make at least the same quality games as the previous ones.I hope for a bf6 like bf3,4.If they fail the new titles they shouldnt start closing the old ones especialy if there is a player base, and there is.Battlefield is top tier game.I hope for the best going forward.
if buying games isn't owning them then piracy and theft is.
I can definitely see why people have started pirating games…
In Belarus, piracy is legal to an extent
@@Silver-wl2qz In Bulgaria there's community's who pirate movies, games and etc., they dont even hide it in public but no one really cares.
Go outside? In this heat wave? I sincerely do not fucking think so.
I’m just happy you made it to the end of the video 😭
glad to see you guys are NOW just realizing this! Years late, but doing better than never

It's where BF started to stop being BF
