Based on your evaluation I updated the auto attenuation to keep the signal below -30dB and ensure the lowest selectable RBW is 3kHz. Can you test with the latest FW?
Great! I am running: tinySA_v1.0-64-g3ff96c8 The RBW problem has been fixed but the attn still needs another 10db. I tested: input TinySA attn auto TinySA attn needed 0dbm -20db -30 -5 -15 -25 --10 -10 -20 -15 -5 -15 -20 0 -10
@@IMSAIGuy yes they do,... I have looked at github, I HATE picking up some one else's code. An afternoon with an author would maybe make it possible to pick up, but crap that can be a mess. Maybe rather buy a Siglent. Or just live with it. I use it as a test instrument more than a design tool. I am a mostly retired EE, always interested in RF but never really had the need at work. So now in my tottering years I try to pick some of it up,...
This has been a great little series about the device so far already. Thanks!

The RBW problem has been fixed but the attn still needs another 10db. I tested:
input TinySA attn auto TinySA attn needed
0dbm -20db -30
-5 -15 -25
--10 -10 -20
-15 -5 -15
-20 0 -10
the input dBm value is for an AM modulated signal so total power not peak spectral data.
@@IMSAIGuy There is another problem when measuring AM modulation. Please have a look at this wiki page: tinysa.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Main.AMModulation
Great seeing Eric adjusting firmware based on your findings 😉
What a relief for a 'joung' boy of 87 to view those fine practical video's in these Corona time's in a relaxed way , thanks !

Nice video and advice ! Really shows that the TinySA can produce good results if its not overloaded. You've convinced me to get one :-) .
Thanks! Very interesting.
Excellent focus!
I suggest that you include the firmware revision with your videos.
Most of my Tiny videos are old firmware, you are correct. The videos have dates. But, many of these problems still exist
