For those who don’t pay attention to the market for persimmons, there are certain models from various companies that are worth a lot of money. If the shop actually did have a Wood Bros Texan or All-American persimmon driver in nice condition it would be worth $500. That is not a joke. Many MacGregor persimmon models from the 1950s are worth hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars. However, most persimmon clubs ever made are worth very little. I own 4 of those Richard O’Hara drivers, all with different stain colors and insert designs. They are worth more than $200 in nice condition.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. The mention of the name John Byron rang a bell and I instantly recalled my dad had given me one years ago that’s been just sitting in the garage. Mid-broom 98 of 100.
Wow. I can't believe this video came up in my feed but I loved those persimmon woods for sale. Great condition and boy do I miss using them and listening to that sound when hitting a balata. The people in this video were absolute gems. Let's have another video.

Titleist 735 forged irons $180. Taylormade m-6 driver $269 in my bag right now bought used. However the 3 vokey wedges at retail price along with my scotty cameron fastback at a little over $400 I really don't have as much money in my bag as most people. I'm thinking 500 could have bought him a little more than what he got.

Fellow golfers, thank you very much for taking the time and consideration to watching our video and making it a hit. I worked at a club that changed grips that way, not saying it's right but you cut off the old one and use mineral spirits, it's good as new ready for a new grip

That’s what I was going to say too. I have several BeCu models and the Anser did not have the slot in the bottom like that..damn you would think an owner of a classic club shop would know that. Plus the B60 I doubt was their most popular model either 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Original Dale Head did not say Dale Head on them. What made them Dale Heads was the shape of the weights on the flange area of the putter, it was the same as the Scottsdale. They had a more gentle slope.
I also own the Big Bertha 1-iron, and it’s absolute trash. I love the older/vintage blade 2 irons (I have a few), and I hit them very well. I have NEVER hit a good shot with that Big Bertha 1 iron. D-

This woman knows nothing about Ping putters. Or if she does she’s telling you what you want to hear. None of them were beryllium copper they were all manganese bronze. The Anser you had in your hand was a Dalehead. The term Dalehead came from collectors to describe Ping Anser putters with sloping heel toe bumpers. They were similar to the original Anser designed and manufactured in Karsten Solheim’s garage in Scottsdale Arizona in 1966. Later Ansers had a squared off bumper design. The putter you had which said Dale Head was not a Ping Anser as Ping never used the term Dale Head themselves. Karsten put the zip code on his putters to advertise where they came from. Later this would help prevent counterfeiting. The zip codes used on Ansers after the Scotsdale Anser are 85029, 85020 85068 and then 85029 again. The zip codes can be used to help date the putter.
