Did your bgv9 have a rough nylon inside? Almost like the material shriveled and hardened? I just got a pair and the inside is so different from the Bgv1,bgv19 and bgv26 that I have already

Great review as always. I hate mesh palm with a passion. To me, they are just a way for company to cheap out on leather to make more money and create a big weak point with their gloves that will rip or get destroyed before the leather part. I haven't really feel the difference between mesh palm or leather palm to warrant the weak point on the gloves.

After trying both these and bgv16 I think the bgv16 is far superior especially for smaller hands.
The length of my hand is 7inches.
Bgv16 fits perfectly when opening palm and it’s out of place with bgv1. Also much more knuckle protection and compact padding with a grip bar

I'm a muay thai guy looking to upgrade from the basic gloves they sold at my gym. I'm debating between the bgv1 or the hayabusa h5. Fairtex makes gloves specifically for muay thai so I guess they'll be better for everything specific to muay thai, but the H5 is interesting for me because I heard they protect the knuckles better and I do a lot of heavy bags and I sweat A LOT and heard good things about Hayabusa breathability. I'm still a beginner so I don't do much sparring as of right now, mostly heavy bags and drills, but I'm definitely looking forward to sparring so a all around gloves wouldn't be a bad idea. It seems you can't go wrong with either gloves but I have a hard time deciding between the two.
