Combat Corner HMIT Shin Pads are AMAZING!!! I've worn pretty much every common brand on the market and these are by far my favorite. Lighter, much better contour, and just as much protection! I am not a brand ambassador, but I am a daily user. I'm about to buy my third pair!
@@vernievuitton I have not worn the Superare, but the design looks quite similar. I think the Superare are synthetic whereas the HMIT from Combat Corner are cowhide
The contour is so important! A common issue I have with other brands is that the shin guards are typically chunky and wider than necesssary. I’m about to order my first pair from combat corner. I’m 5’3” 130 lbs, what size do you recommend for me?
Hello I want a shin guard that has the leather backing so the part that touches my skin is leather Can not seem to find any on line. Any recomandations
I want a pair of those Fairtex competition shin guards I just hesitate because they are synthetic leather. They remind me of the Twins SGL-10S without the extra shin bar padding and without the genuine leather.
Hi, I’m thinking of getting the Combat Corner Muay Thai shin pads. Does it come in any other colors? How do I find out what size is best for me? and you mentioned something about a discount.
Hey I need shin guards for MMA and I go back on Tuesday and my current shin guards are broken. And I'm quite a heavy kicker so I don't know what shin guards to get. Oh and I'm 13
I agree that all 3 brands are extremely durable and worth the money. Only issues are currently on shipping times. Had a student wait 4 months for their order from top king……
Hey Brother! I would say large most likely! Look at the chart on the ordering website the length of your shin bone is going to be the most important question!
@@kakarot7082 It really depends on how you fight. Cloth is better for people that move a lot and throw a lot of feet kicks. Less mobile power kickers that are getting kicks checked and putting all their weight behind it will really feel it. A pure Muay Thai stylist definitely needs thicker. Idk why there aren’t any hybrids with sleeve style but hard exterior padding yet
I’ve got a few gloves and a shin guard in the cart right now. Just trying to differentiate between the traditional boxing style and kick boxing gloves. Got it down to 3 HMIT (w/ TrainAir) and Proper Thai. Any recommendations? It might all just come down to what’s in stock and what matches! 😎
@@CombatTheory I don't have a style yet because I've only done one class. Used some 14oz Everlast gloves and Title MMA shin guards. Would like to try non grappling shin guards and some gloves to compliment them.

Ayooooo! Good morning, brother! Question... I'm actually purchasing some new shinny's after work today, and if I'm 6ft with small legs, would a medium work for me? The Combat Corner ones that is. I do like them below the knee, and not covering my whole foot. Appreciate your time, baby! 👊
Hey Brother! Yea if you like them a little smaller that would be perfect! You can use my code “BBCT22” at checkout to get 10% off your entire purchase at Combat Corner!
@@CombatTheory oh snap! 😂 I'm going for the white leathers, and that $10 off would be amazing considering 😂 I appreciate it, brother, and I hope my purchase helps in some way 👊
Yokkao is extremely good. The prices are typically higher with no discounts. My only issues with them over the last two years is their long fulfillment times with little updates. I waited nearly 3 months for Thai pads with no response from customer service. Once they showed up their were amazing, but they cost me nearly $100 more than any other Thai pad I’ve ever used….
@@ainjuhl4509 I had already ordered large before I got a response from Combat Theory but they were way too tight, returned and replaced with XL. Should have waited initially once I posted for advice
Hi, new to training here. Do you have any recommendations for my body type, I’m 135 lbs, lengthy, and got some chicken legs. Would these shin guards be way too big in terms of circumference for my legs? Thanks for the info, take care.
Both the RDV and Combat Corner shin guards would fit comfortably. The fairtex might be a bit bulky. But I’ve had your sized people wearing them. Let me know what else I can do?

Thank you, this is very informative. I have been looking to buy Fairtex shin guards but I’m not completely sold because of the bulk. I’ll get the Combat Corner. I’m about 10 months late since this video aired, but are you still a brand ambassador and can give a discount?
Hey bud! This is the exact video I was looking for, after hrs of researching I was down to Fairtex vs Combat Corner. I’m leaning towards CC. Anyway you can help a brother out w a discount?
Great video! I was considering the Fairtex SP3 vs SP5. Ended up with the SP5. Like the padding, but the strap creates blisters on the back of the leg. Have to wear ankle guards. Plus, I like to wear mat shoes and they're harder to pull over than my old RevGear pads. Seems like you like the CC ones over the Fairtex. Wondering if you might be willing to elaborate a little more on why. Thanks!
American have weak shins in matches here. Don't overuse shin guards or shins will never get trained correct. But to recommend shin guard, Top King #1 and Ring to Cage make great also for hard sparring.
