Yes this guy knows his shit. I'm house sitting for my sister and driving her tesla. It had all kinds of error codes up but still drove fine. I replaced 12v battery and followed these instructions and ALL OF THE CODES ARE GONE! Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks so much. Saved me a lot of trouble and time after tesla installed a new battery, but I imagine failed to disconnect the big battery and so I was receiving all those error messages took me 10 minutes to follow your set of procedures and I’m all set!

Darren, am I the only person who has an EV who does not care about the 12v battery. It seems you and Chris are obsessed with the 12v battery 🤣I am more interested in the lithium beauties under my feet, but you and Chris are old school. Informative video for 12v battery freaks :-)
Hey Darren, you look awfully Canadian with that thar tuque! Bravo! Err, now I want to buy a Model 3 :( Left hand drive, mind you. The frunk + power bonnet is sweet! BTW, do you require winter tyres where you are there??
Help!! My charger tripped and then I started having electrical problems. Got the electrical system power reduced error. Now following your steps. Currently waiting. Does this mean my battery needs to be replaced? Or maybe my charger isn’t adequate? The breaker tripped then the car got stuck basically. Can you send your charger specs? Don’t want this happening again
I have a standard type 2 7kw 32a wall box. Your 12v battery may need to be replaced. You can use jump leads to connect another battery whilst doing the reset, connect it just after the factory one to see if it clears the fault
What if I have the black screen issue and I can’t power off the screen. Do I do the same thing as well unplug the main battery on the seat first than the negative battery, than plug the main battery and connect the negative terminal in that sequence
@@thelifeofbatteries2603 will that cause my app to not show my charge, I can control the locks and I can drive but I can’t use the climate or see how much charge I have. The car does charge when I connect it to my charger. Tesla said I’ve been offline for a week now.

Thanks from the US! Would have been nice to see the actual process but great overview.
Works just did it and saved 180$ very simple thanks for this
Thank you so much. Probably just saved me a few dollars and a two hour drive to the service center.
THANK YOU for posting this!!!
Thanks, Darren! If I should ever get a Tesla ;-)
You are a life saver thank you!
Worked perfectly. Thank you very much.
Thank you!
Now I just need to buy my first Tesla Model 3 👍
Great idea ;-)

Looks very cold! Why do you need to reset the 12V system?
When you change the 12v battery or if you let the car run out of power
