Final Fantasy 6 as a Fantasy Film | Mines of Narshe (Part 1)

- It's Final Fantasy 6 as a Fantasy Film! Or is it Final Fantasy VI ? ;)
I originally was going to make it Final Fantasy 6 as an 80s Dark Fantasy Film, but I wanted to go with a more modern feel.
The reason I didn't go the 80s dark fantasy movie route like I did with the Final Fantasy 7, one is that Final Fantasy 7 is already updated for modern times, so giving it a modern aesthetic wouldn't really be that interesting to me.
But with Final Fantasy 6, outside of a few games like Dissidia, it really hasn't been brought to the modern era. I know people would love to have a Final Fantasy 6 remake with modern hardware (I'd personally love it if they did a straight remake without adding too much extra content like they did with ff7 remake).
This is Episode 1 of a very long series, this is literally just the first 30 minutes of the game!
Get ready for a wild ride.

Bruh, seriously do more FFVI videos. This game is truly a LEGEND. I wasn't into gaming growing up, but as a child, it was this game that got me into RPG. The music, storytelling, and unique characters really deserves its own live action series. It's like watching fantasy become reality, which is so out of this world! You do an impeccable job, I never seen any AI videos done THIS GOOD. You deserve a medal for making this!
I always pictured Narshe as a Town on a hill. Basically upwards/slanted to the mountains.

A lot of people underestimate FFVI. When done in live action like this, OMG, the story, the music, the arc overpowers by tenfold. The characters in FFVI, particularly Terra, have this characteristic about them that make them so otherworldly and regal. Something about FFVI being made into live action like this is so impossibly phenomenal. It just stands out above all the other FF versions. This uploader is a true genius. Really lives by his name Robo Da Vinci!

I agree that FF6 is arguably the best in the series. For me it’s between that and 7. Totally different vibes and I love them both for completely different reasons. But I do think that FF6 has the more elegant story, and world.
What I like about FF6 is that it doesn’t feel anime. While I would love for them to do a remake, I’m terrified of what Square Enix would do to it. I’m really not a fan of what they did with FF7 R. Visually it looks fantastic, and combat is amazing. But I hate how the game has been artificially lengthened.
I fear if/when they make a 6 remake they will make it super anime. Not so much in aesthetic but how it feels.
At least we’ll always have the original!
@@robodavinci You're welcome! FFVII was my first and favorite of the series. It had a combination of so many complex themes including sci-fi, mystery, and horror, which brought a new twist to its brand name (coupled with the graphics). I personally didn't like anything after FFVII, maybe the music to FVIII, but I felt like it got really boring thereafter and lost its appeal after VII. The consequent games didn't have that "climatic anticipation" felt in VII nor the emotional storyline in VI.
And I have to agree with you 100% on the "anime vibe" with newly released games. The VII Remake admittedly has amazing graphics, but it gives off a "catwalk model show" vibe. Like the "life" of the game is lost, and all that's left is the aesthetic, which makes for a boring game. It feels like half the time the characters are posing for camera shots than actually playing their roles as characters. So I get confused wondering if there's even a story.
I feel like a VI remake will be similar to that of VII's. Where it's all "flex and glamour" than focusing on what's mostly important - how the story is played out. It always amazed me how games with subpar graphics like Chrono Trigger and Breath of Fire III (two of my other favorites) can captivate an audience so well, and I realized it was because these characters put "life" into a show like how an actor/actress does with their part in a play. Well I guess the perfect song has to be played at the right time as well lol it's a lot of things that piece together to make something perfect.
But I would have to say undoubtedly VI was a gem. The storyline truly was elegant. The artist, the music composer, the storyteller, they all worked so well in unifying their elements together to make VI a very thematic and emotionally-driven game. Even if the developers did a remake, I feel that it would lack the empowering feeling from the original.
I would be in tears and ready to give theater money and I haven't done that since the 90's and I was a kid, so really it would be a first

I've been planning this for years, but you actually did it. Great kudos to you. Do you use LORAS to keep the consistency of the characters? and the precision of the details are because the prompt or the models? both? SD or midjourney? Is there any chance you share your process?
Some pictures look amazing. How Long do you Take to generate them and What a.i. do you use or do you use multiple a.i. Tools? I have played this gem 24 years ago on an Emulator because it was Not available on the European Market Back at the time just like chrono Trigger. Esper Form of Terra would be interesting to see. Keep it Up with the good Work...
Thank you! I use Midjourney, sometimes it takes me a long time per image and sometimes it’s really quick. For example it took a long time to get the Terra pics right and even then they’re not exactly what I envisioned.
@@robodavinci i know it would probably Take a while but do you do layering with the generated Pictures. Like taking certain parts Like an Arm, clothing, legs or Shoes and then regenarating the parts to New ai generated Pics than combining that. I think you already have that in the process when Creating this masterpiece but If Not than its a cool Tip. Endless possibilities... Also Dream a.i. and Leonardo a.i. are two Secret free goodies to Experiment with. 👍
I use Photoshop sometimes to fix small imperfections but I havent tried using generative fill to change things. I think that’s a great idea though! And thanks for the tips!
Update: I actually started using generative fill on photoshop to modify some images that aren’t quite what I want, but almost.
