  • This video shows the Top 10 exporting countries (goods and services) from 1970 to 2017. Similar to imports, European and North American nations dominated during the 60s and 70s. As factories moved to Asia, countries, such as mainland China, Hong Kong (China), South Korea, and India started to export more. Will China be able to beat the US in exports before the end of 2017? You will find out after watching this video!

Germany is a technologically advanced powerhouse. Apart from US, it had consistent and solid growth no matter what the external conditions. Even after suffering from World wars, it still continued to excel due to it's literacy and technical expertise. 80% of Germany's produce is exported and most of the economy comprises of family business. Hats off to the amazing country 🇩🇪

It is surrounded by other wealthy nations. Of course it has a large export/import segment of the economy. When you're surrounded by ice and water like the USA, you mostly do stuff internally. Not that this is a bad thing, both have advantages, for instance it is very hard for the USA to import a recession or to be harmed by trade wars/tarrifs because it's companies aren't affected by whether foreign peoples will buy their products.
Mostly this is geography though, not economics.

Germany has a positive net export because they sell products MADE IN Germany (because they produce quality, you won't buy a German car made in Bulgaria for exemple, the guy buying a German car prefer buy a car more expensive built in Germany than a car less expensive built in Bulgaria). That's the difference with the USA. The USA don't produce shit like China, but they don't produce quality as well like Germany (American cars for exemple are for middle-class or working-class, so they can be produced outside the USA, the guy who buy the car only care about its price, he prefers buy his Ford produced outside the US 20k $ than inside the US 25k $).

Which, in order to be able do that, they obviously must have had a powerful economy and nation with high development beforehand. Logically. Also it was their legal right to colonize countries.. At least back then. And it is also understandable for them to do that in order to compete. Thats natural for humans. Every other country in the world has done that or would like to. The countries that done just also were able to do so in a large scale because they have had a high standard of development already before the colonisation, logically. Also the wealth that has been created or stolen back then wasnt given to the country, for development or something like that, but primary royal houses have taken that wealth for themselves.

This is obviously China's threat theory. China is very poor. Do you know why you can access the Internet? This is what I sold my bicycle at home, went swimming to Japan and found an Internet cafe to surf the Internet, and then sent you a message. Not to mention I'm going to swim back. Next time I send you a message, I'll consider selling my house and buying a second-hand smartphone to rub against Wi-Fi in Russia next door.

China benefited from the 2008 economic crisis because of their locked national market(for foreign companies) , cheap labour, state owned companies and thus cheap goods they can export wherever they want because of western free market values while all or most other countries in the world were struck badly from the 2008 economic crisis and are still recovering from that crisis, especially european countries. Not China's power. China's economic system has the risk to fall a part sometime in the future and create a huge international crisis, thats why China is buying countries all over the world at the moment, to have a type of secruity.

The really impressive thing about Germany is that it is not only an industrial behemoth punching way above its weight but that it is also great in other important areas. It has impressive and clean nature, orderly and beautiful cities and villages, great and cheap education and healthcare, very good social system, 20-30 paid leave days per year for all employees, paid maternity leave, down-to-earth and pragmatic politics, lots of protections for the working class and protections against bad products, etc. It is just a very well functioning society compared to other powerhouses like USA and China.
