I've shot the real Lee Enfield when I was in 65 RCACS in Canada. It was a very heavy, sturdy, accurate and plain rifle. We also used these for drill purposes.
@@karlawson The No4 Enfield weighs 9.and 3/4 pounds loaded. they are not front heavy at all, they are nicely weighted. we were trained in the British Army to fire frome the Prone position, Kneel Position and Standing position, and they are very very accurate in all positions.
I am portuguese and endure stupid ass laws that have airsofters painting their guns yellow on the stock and barrel tio. Thanks for the compassion youve showed us today mark!
If it make you feel any better, I'm from Australia, and our government considers Airsoft guns to be the same as the real thing, with the exception of not being able to license them here.. therefore no airsoft at all :(
And nobody noticed the most important thing! Really?! The Lee-Enfield has one MAJOR advantage over its era counterparts/rivals and even modern counterparts. and it was shown right in our face! 7:24. Tim pulls back the bolt and still was able to hold his cheeks on the rest and maintaining an eye on the target. Just like the real version. No other era correct counterpart and many modern day counterparts in the real steel world and so also in airsoft is able to do this. All other you need to lift your head and then pull back the bolt. making you lose track of your target. Yes that bolt is stiff.. but some lube and some wear-in time could make a huge difference. It when its action is smooth.. you can rapidly fire shots after one and the other. Just like the real steel versions. So: "Is it the empires finest? " It was made as it should be.
It's not that nobody noticed, maybe it was something that didn't need to be mentioned as it was portrayed in the shot you mentioned. Sometimes, visual stimulus is all you need?
There's a lot of assumptions about its construction to properly know whether the stiffness is bad-design or a stiff spring. I'd rather it be bad-design because we can fix that over time but a stiff spring weakening over time for comfort's sake (especially when FPS is paltry ~400FPS) isn't a good thing. It means the this design is a flop for anything except recreation/collection purposes. A surplus Lee-Enfield would be cheaper at that point.
Of course a surplus Lee Enfield would be cheaper, well in excess of 20 million were made over a period spanning a century. In fact India still produces and uses their Ishapore Lee Enfield variant today and you can get a Khyber Pass special made with Victoria Regina markings in Pakistan. Airsoft guns almost ALWAYS cost more than their real counterparts due to lower production runs, this absurd 'i can get a real one cheaper' needs to stop.
The Lee Enfield first saw Serious fighting during the First World War, then it was used in the Second World War, and it was replaced as the British army's standard issue rifle by the L1A1 SLR in 1954
the lee this replica is based on was first produced during the middle of ww2 the action of the real-steel firearm was based on the lee-metford rifle used in the second boer war (nicknamed the long lee).
Iv owned the real steel and trust me when I say it's a fantastic rifle to shoot. The airsoft version looks really stunning . I'd have one as a wall hanger. Thanks guys .
In the "real steel" world the SMLE is held is very high esteem. Adored for it's historical significance, it's service record and design. It's soooo cool to see a company making a reasonably accurate facsimile of it. With regard to the stiffness of the bolt, I'm sure it'll loosen up over time, if it would prove to be a consistent, or pervasive issue my recommendation would be to use some ground up graphite on the bolts mating surfaces. Just sprinkle some everywhere it makes contact. It won't keep the spring from being stuff but it'll keep the action from being overly "grabby" or wanting to stick.
Remember you also had the M1 Garand, The Springfield 1903 and the Kar 98K All were pressed into service as sniper rifles, I like the Enfield because my stepdad has one, and the real steel one has quite the recoil, There are airsofters in many places waiting for this rifle, to complete their British WWII load outs.
And when the RALS is down it presents the battle site . Thanks for making the video loved it the original was a beatifull rifle it just feels right in the hands . And the one you have looks really faithfully to the original I REALLY WANT ONE
I like how the removable magazine is true to the real steel. Problem with other airsoft bolt actions is they have to use detachable magazines instead of stripper clips, which diminishes realism.
Why do you torture me redwolf!. I've been wanting this rifle for years and now it's back, but more expensive then ever! For the LOVE OF GOD put more on the shelves and for a cheaper price!!!
It's called a rear aperture leaf sight the original was 9lbs 12ozs fully charged with a sling smooth accurate. I hope they produce the sniper variant that would be amazing
I was once in England for 4 days and not one drop of rain, so WTH are you talking about Tim? Also, a yellow sniper with flipups! You don't see that every day.
Would be awesome to see a series of WW1+WW2 rifles using VSR compatible cylinders. A Gewehr 98, Karabiner 98k (same gun at heart, different lengths and some minor upgrades), SMLE, M1903, MAS-36, Mousin-Nagant, Carcano, Berthier and Lebel. Could work out to be cost effective as they'd be able to use the same cylinders, inner barrels (to an extent), trigger groups (with cosmetic changes to the guard and trigger). The could possibly use VSR mags.
Hmm, I've always found this particular model to be a bit short for a military service rifle chambered in a full powered round(.303) not that it really matters, as it'd be more convenient and easier to maneuver. It's a nice looking rifle, I have a friend that owns one, the bolt is somewhat smooth on it and it has a lot of recoil. I think it'd be cool to have one though.
12 hours ago this would have amazed me and had me salivating while prepping my bank account for sudden loss of funds. And then I got to try a real Short Magazine Lee Enfield for the first time. And 6mm bb does not compare to 303 British. But I hope everyone who buys one has an easier time with there spring bolt then I did with the real thing. 70 years where not kind to the old girl.
Had it in my hands at IWA in Germany and the silver zylinder ruins the looks of the rifle and as always way to expensive to be sold for a longer time. Maybe RWA will do a better job on replacement parts support like on the MG-34.
3:08 the real lee enfield uses a system where instead if cocking the hammer as you pull back, it cocks as you push forward I have no idea if this has any correlation, just saw a connection.
I noticed that the bolt actually moves back and opens when you cycle it, would it be possible to load it from the top with a speedloader while the bolt is open without removing the mag?
I have a No4 MK1 here in America the bolt on this air soft version is a mockery of the real thing, the Lee enfield having the fastest bolt of any world War 2 battle rifle.
Nice concept for a spring bolt action rifle. Problem is can this thing be upgraded spring with aftermarket parts such as VSR10 compatibility. Time will only tell.
Wow, literally as I am in the middle of carving my own musket-like stock for my gun... :l Looks beautiful though! But is there no cantered scope mount?
I have fired the real steel one the action on the real one is a bit heavy cocking, but that one looks easier than the real one, oil the action it will wear in
The scope attaches to the side, to the left side of the bolt. It is simply just a piece of metal with 2 rings that are attached by replacing screws in the body with thumb screws above the magazine/trigger gap. Edit: Would probably have to be custom made. As of right now, i cannot find a none rs copy anywhere.
from what i can see is the bolt looks like its working in the way of the real steel, and also the k98 real steel works like that, its called a slam bolt. and after being out on the range with my 1939 k98 i would not have it set to chamber for the lesser man, these rifles were made for MEN!
I have this rifle and how come I can’t shoot it I put the bbs in and cock the bolt but no shot? And the bbs fall out of the mag. So rn I’m thinking it’s an ass with a disguise
I've shot the real Lee Enfield when I was in 65 RCACS in Canada. It was a very heavy, sturdy, accurate and plain rifle. We also used these for drill purposes.
Plus, you would have to be very strong to hit anything accurately while standing with the real thing. It's very front-heavy. My $0.02
@@karlawson The No4 Enfield weighs 9.and 3/4 pounds loaded. they are not front heavy at all, they are nicely weighted. we were trained in the British Army to fire frome the Prone position, Kneel Position and Standing position, and they are very very accurate in all positions.
My uncle has 3 of them, 2 from the 40s, and one from Lithgow from the 50s
I’ve only got to do drill with arms with a gutted lee enfield
im british...i need 4 of these and some tea
and scones
PurpleMonkey444 I'm American and from Texas so I need 7 1911 and 1 of these then I can take over you goverment
And a German style flogging
meme manhjhfg and you feel the need to do that because? Not that I'm disagreeing necessarily lol
PurpleMonkey444 I'll bring the crumpets
Perfect weather and backdrop for that rifle

I know someones gonna say it...so it might as well be me *clears throat * WE ARE LOSING OBJECTIVE BUTTERS LADS
Airsoft AL wrong war my dude
I know but if i didnt say it then someone else would have XD lol
Wrong model. We need the good ol SMLE MK.III
Wrong version
**sighs** the mk 3 was used in ww1 the mk4 didint come out until 1942 so **time travel**
3:15 The knuckle cracking thing has been proven to be inconclusive when tested with more modern methods and multiple critical studies.
Talks about WW2 films whilst showing a WW1 film
I noticed that too!
SneakingMilk ohhh nooooo...
The Lee Enfield No ! Mk 3 was used in the FIRST WORLD WAR.
SneakingMilk they also showed its use in wars like 30 years before ww1
SneakingMilk 😂😂😂
I am portuguese and endure stupid ass laws that have airsofters painting their guns yellow on the stock and barrel tio.
Thanks for the compassion youve showed us today mark!
Thanks for answering my question. I was going to ask WTF a yellow stock is symbolic of Portugal
If it make you feel any better, I'm from Australia, and our government considers Airsoft guns to be the same as the real thing, with the exception of not being able to license them here.. therefore no airsoft at all :(
Oh I was gonna say that yellow stock made me cry.
Me: Time to get this
* looks at price *
Anyways
You could buy a real ishapore rifle or mk3 Enfield with that money lol
FRIEND CREATIONS I don’t want a real lee enfield
@Hector McKinnel 500 usd 😂
Actually it's raining where I am in England, so you're correct there Tim.
And nobody noticed the most important thing! Really?!

You can do that with SRS too

Maybe too that it is a FUCKING BB GUN that doesn't need to load a 3 inch long bullet but only has to Cock a spring
an absolutely stunning build and a must have
As an owner of a real steel No 4 mk1 Lee Enfield, this has me pumped!
Britains finest superb video guys love the backdrop and typical UK summer weather keep em coming
So glad he said "Aluminium" the correct way.
The Lee Enfield first saw Serious fighting during the First World War, then it was used in the Second World War, and it was replaced as the British army's standard issue rifle by the L1A1 SLR in 1954
I've got a real one hanging above my head right now, and yet I still want one of these.
I'm officially in love right now! MUST! HAVE!
the lee this replica is based on was first produced during the middle of ww2
the action of the real-steel firearm was based on the lee-metford rifle used in the second boer war (nicknamed the long lee).
I gota admit, the scene as a whole was great, not to mention the music. Felt very Halo Reach-esque. Great review.

I love the addition of the music in this video. Everything about this review was done very well considering the rifle and its history. :D

Portugal has to paint 10 cm (aprox 4 inches) barrel and stock. That comment is more accurate to ukara, I guess.
Can you lube it up to make the push/pull smoother? Also can you attach a scope/rail?
As Portuguese owner of yellow guns, I liked the video!
I like how the removable magazine is true to the real steel. Problem with other airsoft bolt actions is they have to use detachable magazines instead of stripper clips, which diminishes realism.
Stiff bolt close = 45° sear = sad face
Close tolerances. The Noveritsch is the same. Push and pull
I like how this video was filmed in Mount Davis, an old British artillery depot
Why do you torture me redwolf!. I've been wanting this rifle for years and now it's back, but more expensive then ever! For the LOVE OF GOD put more on the shelves and for a cheaper price!!!

Also, a yellow sniper with flipups! You don't see that every day.
in Portugal it is necessary to paint the stock and 10 centimeters of the barrel to be legal
How about real guns? Can you carry them? How much are they regulated?
sogerc1 tim was right it rains a lot over here you were just lucky
No, thank God, you don't see such rifles every day... LOL
yh our weather is nice most of the year, but our winters are really cold sometimes.

Dang Tim, you've put on some serious muscle since you've started
Operating the bolt on that gun builds so much muscles that its legally defined as doping at the Olympics.
If the rifle is replicated, does that mean I can take the working parts and fit them into a genuine number 4 enfield furniture and stock? thank you.
No, these things are generally only replicas from what’s visible, the mechanism will not be the right shape

Oh how I want this lets hope they do a smle (short, magazine, Lee Enfield) next. My favourite weapon ever
Aye another scouser
I owned a Lee Enfield 4 mk 1 for years and it was a joy too shoot. I wish I had never sold it.
$569, no thanks.
It has 69 in now I have to buy it
Youch
Might as well buy a real one
0,7 Joule is nothing ... 2,7 ok😊
The lee enfield nro 4 was produced two years after the war had started so what did they use in dunkirk did they use the wwI or some newer lee enfield
I felt the "Portugal, this is for tou guys" big, bif oof
Is good son, real good, maybe..... Even the best!
Had it in my hands at IWA in Germany and the silver zylinder ruins the looks of the rifle and as always way to expensive to be sold for a longer time. Maybe RWA will do a better job on replacement parts support like on the MG-34.
Good snipe for the French resistance too ;)
Yes the gun saved my great grandfathers life
Reviews British rifle *puts cod ww2 art in the backround*
FrostyMCmuffins eewwww

Gets supper excited for rifle. Sees price. Doesnt want the rifle as bad anymore
mate i need 5 of these and plenty of tea !!!!!
I have a real No.4 MK2 Enfield, this looks ridiculously close. Now my real steel enfield was also $150 cheaper lol
The empires finest is an upgraded TM L96 AWS
Shame about the stiff bolt. Would have been fun to try the *Mad Minute* with this
Isnt G&G doing the 303 aswel?
Mark Greenway I think so
Mark Greenway Source? I want to look into this lol
I have a No4 MK1 here in America the bolt on this air soft version is a mockery of the real thing, the Lee enfield having the fastest bolt of any world War 2 battle rifle.
I also paid $150 for my 1941 Lee Enfield No4 Mk1, it's 303 British not a kids toy.
When are you gonna make the de lisle version of this? Or the jungle carbine? I wish you make all the variants.. spring or gbb
Sure, the bolt may be stiff but it sounds amazing...
Nice concept for a spring bolt action rifle. Problem is can this thing be upgraded spring with aftermarket parts such as VSR10 compatibility. Time will only tell.
5:15 As a portuguese, I feel honored to be presented a yellow banana ares striker
Wow, literally as I am in the middle of carving my own musket-like stock for my gun... :l Looks beautiful though! But is there no cantered scope mount?
I know this video is about Lee Enfield, but holy crap Tim has gotten huge! I still remember him being skinny, now he's the hulk.
did everyone forget the Iron/Apple airsoft Gas rifle release? Owo either way, still buying one later this year, or next spring.
Tim. Have you gone to New York Film Academy? I feel like I have seen you in one of their videos.
Looking forward to fielding this one
There is something about his voice thats kinda comforting🤔
When will we get an smle?
I’m Australian an we have been using the 303 (lee einfield) for about 60 years
Just wish it would be easier to find a scope mount for the lee enfield
in regards to aiming with this rifel and other bolt actions what is the adviced method of breath control ??? to ues.
I have fired the real steel one the action on the real one is a bit heavy cocking, but that one looks easier than the real one, oil the action it will wear in
can you put a scope on hat gun?
The intro is from a news channel in Hong Kong right
Hi, is it possible to add a sniper scope on it ?
Does it support silencer?
Can it mount scope on its upper side ?
could you do a mad minuet with this rifle or is the bolt too stiff
Will it be safe to oil the bolt?
Wasn’t it used in world war 1 too?
All I wanted to see is if the bolt works
The bolt seems stiff because you are charging it wrong Tim. Remember, the low ready position didn't really exist at the time of this rifle.
Is it gas operated or spring loaded?
What would be needed done to get this to 530-550 fps w/.20 and to hop .43 bb's ?
I want to know too. If it can't be upgraded it is useless.
Does the gen2 version work because I know of a club that bought 2 and neither worked?
Do you also cover your ASp?
Are the sights plastic?
Any place for a scope ?
^^ would like to know this aswell
The scope attaches to the side, to the left side of the bolt. It is simply just a piece of metal with 2 rings that are attached by replacing screws in the body with thumb screws above the magazine/trigger gap.
Edit: Would probably have to be custom made. As of right now, i cannot find a none rs copy anywhere.
depending on how faithful a copy it is you could try the lee enfield scope mount from the real world firearm as they are still available.
thanks men im portuguese and here the airsoft gun must be painted in Yellow its the law !
Is that a new gun? The bolt looks a little stiff.
Is there any cheaper ones
i had a real lee enfield .303 and the bolt was super smooth thats why its know as the fastest bolt action rifle of its time
Did you know most soldiers would pull the trigger with their ring finger so they could pull the bolt faster. I think
Do you guys sell the striker stocks in different colors or do I have to buy a whole gun
I fired the real rifle 28 years ago trained as a sniper with in beautiful weapon
Targets will definitely fall when hit with the old "Smelly".
Love from Portugal
Why Portugal for the yellow airsoft gun?
Bruno Santos because in Portugal the stock and 10cm of the barrel need to be painted by law and the most used colours are yellow and orange
It was used in WW1 too
so this is what everyone's been dying for
from what i can see is the bolt looks like its working in the way of the real steel, and also the k98 real steel works like that, its called a slam bolt. and after being out on the range with my 1939 k98 i would not have it set to chamber for the lesser man, these rifles were made for MEN!
I have this rifle and how come I can’t shoot it I put the bbs in and cock the bolt but no shot? And the bbs fall out of the mag. So rn I’m thinking it’s an ass with a disguise
Thanks
