"Wiggle Bomb" is actually called BLSS for anybody curious/wanting to look into it.
And "Bomb impact launch" is "Wind bomb"
I understand him trying to pick a different name early on but it's pretty established now so I don't understand why he refuses to call it the accepted name

For anyone wondering about the Amiibo use, Amiibos don't remove any skill from the run, just the RNG of getting a beetle and some bananas. There are separate leaderboards without them but most top runners prefer the Amiibo category.
There is a new no amiibo route that doesn't involve rng
Also, player 5 holds BOTH Amiibo and no Amiibo WRs which is insane.
He is also the first runner to hit the sub 25 barrier in BOTH categories.
(sub 25 means world record under 25 minutes)

Temple of time. He did it twice and I was like wtf?
I'm not interested in speedrunning really at all, but even as an outsider I can tell that Linkus is filling an absolutely essential role for the community. Deciphering all the complexities into an entertaining and compact video is unfathomably valuable.
what i love in the history of this run is all the improvements of the great plateau, if one day we find out it’s possible to skip it, the run might be done in less than 10 min but some magic will be lost
Based on what I know, I don’t think it’ll ever be possible to skip the great plateau
It’s not possible to skip it. Insta death regardless of where you are in the world, and if you manage to prevent the entire map from loading in, you won’t be able to complete any of the boss fights.
I think that’s why I prefer the old runs even if BLSS has cut down a significant time in the runs just because I think the BTBs are so much more fun to watch. Still, I would love to see how much farther the community can go, even if it means implementing the “less fun” tricks
@@minecrafter3448 But there might be some way to trick the game into thinking you completed the plateau! If there's one thing I've learned from watching ACE in speed runs, pretty much anything can be possible, it's just whether or not it's engaging enough for the runner and the audience to implement it lol
@@Kass686 the way it works is it checks if you have the paraglider and if you don't you instantly void out when getting off the plateau. It seems that Ace is impossible on the switch OS.

this speedrun is getting very cool. a lot of speedruns just kinda break as soon as newer and better tricks are discovered but here they're using basically all of the tricks developed in different places. awesome

Love this breakdown, I wanted to point out that it is the edge of Duality, (d-u-a-l-i-t-y), not durability, though it is an extremely good weapon.
We all know, it's a nickname for it, because it has insanely high durability.

It is. Linkus is calling it "Wiggle Bomb", but that's not the official term
At 11:23 he does call it by it's true name, kinda weird to not include that when first talking about it but w/e. I do like the name "wiggle bomb" more, even if its not entirely accurate.

Current no amiibo route for Attack up is to BLSS from the temple of time to a field in Ridgeland, pick up four Razorshrooms, then BLSS to Hyrule Castle. The no amiibo route has been streamlined into the amiibo route with one detour on the way to Hyrule Castle.
That's a quick time and fun to watch! I like hearing how runs/the run work!

It’s awesome to see how far you’ve come and how everything feels so natural to you now. Much love, keep on keepin’ on, and thank you for letting me live vicariously through someone who speed runs all the games at once that I ever hoped to run individually haha
This is amazing. I'm not much of a speedrunner, but I love getting to see how much effort and practice goes into making these routes work. At some point I want to try out some of these glitches though. I successfully pulled off the Shrine of Resurrection escape once, but haven't had the time lately for any others.

Linkus7: the majority of the damage is delt by arrows. Link: I'm gonna headshot him a bit, then I make sure he doesn't move while I use every weapon I have to kill him.

Never thought all those years back on its release I'd be saying I can make sure my balls are clean watching someone destroy the run scene in 24 minutes, but here we are. One question: how large is the insta-death zone around plateau, does it extend in to Hyrule Castle?
I mean could you Wiggle-pot fly all the way to Hyrule Castle loading zone?
gymnast86 made a video about that:
There are 2 instant death zones:
one on the floor around the plateau (rather small), you can actually jump over that if you do it right
and one that applies whenever links position is outside a rectangle around the plateau.
the problem is: even if you could reach hyrule castle without triggering any of those 2 zones, the last ganon beast fight takes place on the hyrule field map and fhe kill zone would hit you there and kill your run
that's what my first thought was too.
i wonder if the death zone would trigger in the bossfight.
Does the death zone cover the whole boss arena?
Also, has anyone tried it yet?
@@p1harmoney I was wondering too is the kill zone in the final boss area as it is special state of the field as if you escape the area during the fight th field outside does not load or work normally, and no enemies are present.
The video mentioned sai that he suspects the kill zone being there but had not confirmed it, nor had anyone else at that point.

Funny that the game strips pretty much any property of the area away during the fight but leave the kill zone.

I'm not trying to discredit p5's insane PB. I don't see it being beaten for a decent while, but I'm very proud of that run and it's misleading to say that p5's is the first sub 13 on a video such as this. Especially since the leaderboards are publicly available.

Because both bombs have a two explosions. One is wind and the other the actually explosion. If you drop the second bomb too early(too close to first bomb) it will explode and that can even mess up your launch. That's why they call them Windbombs since the wind impact is what makes this possible.

I already been doing wind bombs in shrines even thru normal gameplays, screw doing the shrines

What happens if you use a glitch to leave the great plateau before you get the paraglider?
The game respawns you back on the Plateau. There's a "death plane" that surrounds the Plateau before you get the Paraglider, and it disappears after you get it. So no matter how far out you can fly or whether or not you can survive the fall, the game still won't let you leave the Plateau until you get the Paraglider.
yep - you'd think you could just damage cancel, but the game checks for a paraglider soo you physically can't leave early. Believe me, efforts have been made

A) I’ve honestly always called it durability, my brain must have just “auto corrected” it to that every time I’ve picked it up and the name is flashed on screens for a second

A) Yes, I am sorry but in my opinion Bow Lift Smuggling Slide is a really bad name for a glitch, I should have mentioned it once, then just called it wiggle bomb, I apologize for that mistake!
Now to all the real homies who read this entire comment and are still reading, if I am being completely transparent, I think it’s really funny how passionate the comment section is to let me know I messed up this Sword Name, it’s almost as heated of a debate as “Does Pineapple belong on pizza”? It's fine to think whatever of course, every opinion is the right opinion and all. I just think for a video such as this, it may be better to label certain things in their most commonly used forms simply to avoid possible confusion. Good video though, I'm glad that lots of attention is being brought to Any% as of late!
@@TheKoroks BIL or Bomb Impact Launch was the community made name for the glitch, Windbomb is the name the glitch discoverer prefers, so both are considered “accurate”
@@Linkus7 It is not commonly used by any active runner anymore, and most guides you will find for route dependent windbombs will be labeled as such. I never said BIL was wrong, I was just pointing out how you prefer wigglebomb to BLSS and not windbomb to BIL.
