#62 My sister's boyfriend at the time introduced me to the NES, and this was exactly how he handled the controller
Man, 1/3rd of the way in and there are sooooo many errors already... Like talking about Yamauchi's reaction to the "Gamecom" name several facts before actually introducing the fact it was going to be called that, using SMB3's manual as an example of a statement made about SMB1 talking about the potential Atari connection without mentioning how it fell through then bringing up Balloon Fight in the same fact without mentioning that it was a retool of what was originally supposed to be an atari Joust port, talking about how the console was meant to look 'cool' then talking about how its designer designed it as 'boring', implying the sound capabilities in general allowed things like the Punch-out cheers when that was specifically the samples channel alone, showing the American NES for the "Yamauchi thought the ejection mechanism would be fun" bit when that specifically is only relevant to the Japanese Famicom and the NES's is totally different and necessary due to how the system was made horizontally-loading... and more I don't even feel like remembering. Oh, and not to mention that TWICE you talked about SNES games in relation to NES tech, such as Mario Kart in reference to the NES' color limitations and F-ZERO, a game that came out nearly a decade after the Famicom's launch, as the inspiration for how they figured out scrolling techniques for the Famicom (????) -- it's at this point I had to stop watching.
Seriously, I like the idea of these fact videos but time and time again you guys screw things up and seem to rush these out without really taking the time to give them quality assurance. At least *some* of your viewers aren't hyperactive preteens and will actually pay attention, you know?
yah i thought the same thing about the scrolling on nes and showing fzero on the snes lol. I already posted a an error they stated about being limited to 2 games per year when it was actually 5 games per year.
+newmarket dispatch and also Zelda is not the only game to not come in a gray cart. Maybe officially that's true but they failed to mention unofficial games from companies like Wisdom Tree or Tengen had their own colors
also the mic in the 2nd controller was a thing
For some of us that two finger controller hold was normal, as it allows you to more easily control things like jump and acceleration separately on game like SMB, or shooting and jumping on MM2 (there's a reason I beat it WAY before most of my friends did).
I wish the NES version of TMNTII was 4 players

The NES is so cool with classics like SMB3, Legend of Zelda, Metroid and more. I really want one but when you’re younger it’s kinda tough to get your hands on one. Yeah, I can play the classics on Nintendo Switch Online and other ways but it doesn’t have that good old feel, you know?

Definitely not. This kid has no idea what he's talking about. Fact #19 "There was even talk about having a microphone in the 2nd controller, BUT Ueramura thought that players wouldn't like the sound of their own voice." What does that sentence mean to you? To me, it means that they WERE going to put a microphone in the 2nd controller but decided against it right? LOL. IT HAS A MICROPHONE IN THE 2nd CONTROLLER YOU TIT! Unbelievable!!! I shut the video off after that. Great job 16 year old guy.

FaceRip I don't get the eject part. 36. Even on a brand new sysyem, you will still have to pull the cart out. It doesn't eject it. He may be confused about the Famicom Disk Sysem that used a type of floppy disk.....

Also ,early nes carts did had 5 screws,the later cartride revisions did had only 3 screws in it.
The most interesting thing was the hardware limitations of the nes for wich game developers dit get around by using clever hardware tricks forbetter graphics & sound, gameplay and longer game sessions.
Without enhancement chips, nes games would,ve be not so impressive.

Huh, not one, but two ads for the Classic. Impressive.
Nintendo did actually patent the D-Pad design so to get around that, the D-Pad design on other controllers don't have an actual D-Pad, their of their own design. But the Patent recently expired, that's why the XBOX ONE controller has an actual D-Pad.

The picture of the arcade at 7:34 shows an arcade cabinet for Mega Man Xtreme 2, which was a Game Boy Color game. If that's not weird enough, the art on the control panel is from MMX Command Mission. ....What the _hell_ is going on with that cabinet?!
It must be homemade, but why the heck would you make an arcade cabinet for a Game Boy game that's an inferior port of some SNES games when you could just make an arcade cabinet of the SNES games themselves? It boggles the mind...

Did you know you could hook up an NES to 2 TVs using both the RCA and Coaxial connection? Just displays the same image though
I loved this, because when I bought my first NES, I didn't even have an actual TV. I had a color monitor with RCA connections. I couldn't play my old Intellivision on it, but I could play my new NES!
