No parent should ever say their child owes them. You’re the one who decided to bring them into the world and it’s your job to raise them and take care of them but they don’t owe you anything. As a kind person that she is she can always be willing to help out but she shouldn’t feel she owes him.

Prior to marrying Harry she constantly said glowing loving things about her Dad, who raised her alone after the parents divorced. He has had 2 heart attacks & at 75 can’t re-earn all the money he spent & invested in her career. She is a multimillionaire & could at least pay him back the money he invested in helping her.

College fee is not the only thing you need to go to college, your feeding is not included in college fees, socialising, pay for accommodation and paying for things. That is what normal parents do, some even go further, pay uni fees, buy the kids their 1st car, their first house and guess what, their kids don't owe them a dim. Normal parent live their kids an inheritance.

I feel for the guy to a great extent, but he just does not seem to wake up to the responsibilities he has as a father in law to someone married into the Royal Family. I think it is good not to talk to people in a missatuned way or try to cast suspicions on them by beating false witness. This unfortunately is a sad example of fatherhood. A father is supposed to care and provide for those they bring into this world , without the expectation of pay back .Even in our senior years . If they choose to care for us , they do so, not because we bully them in the press and throw tantrums to embarrass them, but because we have a relationship with them .
