Harry seems to be very insecure about his self-worth. He was born second in line and, now that he has thankfully been moved ever farther away from the throne, this bothers him terribly. He seems to have put all his feeling of worth on the fact that he is not in line for the throne. This, along with his less than stellar intellectual achievements, especially compared to William, has made him so insecure that it shows. When he became engaged, he made a comment to the effect that he couldn't believe that such a gorgeous, talented woman would agree to marry him. He was happy when he said it, but it seemed pathetic to many. Now that the gorgeous, talented woman hasn't lived up to her promise in Harry's eyes, he feels even more of a failure. Add to that his business failures, and he seems close to "hitting bottom" as it were. Poor Harry.
At this point, I don't think this will ever happen. He seems so concerned about losing the love of his "dear boy" that he had become completely weak and ineffectual regarding Harry.

I agree that the holding of hands during a funeral procession is not only odd, but distinctly inappropriate. It also conveys the sort of message that says we are not fully on board with this ritual and thereby choose to distance ourselves from it to some degree.

Im sorry, WHAT?! lol holding hands does not mean that, it is a sign of support. My boyfriend has really bad anxiety before a match, we always walk down to the courts together, holding hands, to help calm him down a bit. Whenever he sees me starting to have an anxiety attack the first thing he reaches for is my hand, it usually helps me calm a bit as well. For a lot of people touch is their love and support language.

What’s interesting is that I read M&H decided to do the “walk about” on their own, and both were later shown to be wearing recording devices. When William caught wind of what they were going to do, he insisted that he and Kate would go with them, so that certainly explained a lot for me.
This was NOT the case!! William is clued into his brother and asked him to be ready within a short time to walk among the crowd and say thank you! Haz and M didn't have much time to arrange anything as the car had to be called for... Harry certainly would not be allowed to go anywhere public without His father or Wills knowing.... When I saw them holding hands as they were walking away in the procession I too was disgusted. Couldn’t they just NOT hold hands for a few minutes please. Re the no saluting, in the Australian services you are not to salute when out of uniform. I believe this to be the same in the UK. Even servicemen in uniform are not considered in full uniform once the hat is removed. This is why hats are left at the entrance to the mess hall so no saluting is required inside. It is so ingrained that if a serving member enters the mess with a hat on, a bell is rung and the offender has to buy drinks for everyone in the mess. I think they were correct to bow their heads in respect. I don't think it's Harry putting his hand over Meghan's to control her. Meghan puts her hand in his in such a way that she appears submissive & him dominant, but SHE is the one who controls HIM. If your going to comment on body language for people who have military background you first have to have some KNOWLEDGE about it. Their hands ARE clenched NOT wide open and its because that's how the military dictates you stand to pay respects when you are not in uniform. What she means is that holding hands in this particular situation is strange, because it’s a tradition at these ceremonies to walk with hands by your side Harry knows this but obviously choose to ignore it.
H&M aren't at a picnic, a ball game, or a dance. The handholding was inappropriate. H was taught protocol from a young age. M was not. It's up to H to stand up for what he knows is correct and acceptable. Her ignorance or wilfulness doesn't excuse him from refusing to do that which he knows to be correct.

Even though Meghan has the title of the Duchess of Sussex, she is also an American citizen, so she is representing the United States when she participates in any ceremonial occasions. Accordingly, she should endeavor not to offend the British public just as she should sincerely try not to offend citizens of Commonwealth Countries particularly if she wishes to run for political office in the future. She can be true to her ethnicity & indeed show that she is very proud of it while at the same time not offending the citizens of the United Kingdom & the Commonwealth Countries. Moreover, surely, she is aware of the Foreign Emolument Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits Americans from accepting foreign titles. Her daughter Lilly was born in California, which makes her automatically an American citizen, so she really shouldn't have a foreign title.

Harry seems to be very insecure about his self-worth. He was born second in line and, now that he has thankfully been moved ever farther away from the throne, this bothers him terribly. When he became engaged, he made a comment to the effect that he couldn't believe that such a gorgeous, talented woman would agree to marry him. My boyfriend has really bad anxiety before a match, we always walk down to the courts together, holding hands, to help calm him down a bit. Whenever he sees me starting to have an anxiety attack the first thing he reaches for is my hand, it usually helps me calm a bit as well. For a lot of people touch is their love and support language.

Re the no saluting, in the Australian services you are not to salute when out of uniform. I believe this to be the same in the UK. Even servicemen in uniform are not considered in full uniform once the hat is removed. This is why hats are left at the entrance to the mess hall so no saluting is required inside. It is so ingrained that if a serving member enters the mess with a hat on, a bell is rung and the offender has to buy drinks for everyone in the mess. I think they were correct to bow their heads in respect. I'm not a royalist but give the Queens family a break, it's hard enough going through the mourning process without all and sundry scrutinising every move they make.
