Your lessons are great! Thanks for all the hard work......after years of playing and fingerpicking.....my good buddy gave me a Gretsch Honeydipper for Christmas and I'm just at a beginner level on slide so this is just what I need....thanks again!

What helped me a lot was to get a slide that fit the finger I was going to put it on and fit at second knuckle. I was sliding right then...and easier.

Thanks for another great video! Your time and dedication is appreciated.
If you don’t mind, could you tell me what gauge strings you use and what string height you have (more or less). Your guitars sound really nice and seem comfortable to play finger style too (I know it’s hard to tell from a video :).
I’ve had to switch to very light strings and a lower action for a while, owing to problems with my finger tips, but when I get back to a more normal action and heavier strings I am looking for recommendations/advice about gauges and set ups.
    Cheers and regards from Spain.

I use John Pearse Resophonic Spanish neck strings, gauge is .13's My action is set pretty low, but not enough that the strings will buzz if I really bang on it.

      It's a National Black Rust Tricone. I think they're about $3800-$4000 now.
