How did you set Cricut to not cut your header? I have set up a template similar to yours but I'm 100% when I run it through Cricut it will cut the header. Please advise.

So the backing sheet that has the header is saved as a separate layer and you’ll need to make sure the background is white when you export the file (because I have rounded corners on mine I export as a transparent png, otherwise if the sheet’s bounds are the same as the artboard you can just export with white background). Sometimes you may need to flatten image in Design Space, which ensures that it’s only cutting around the outside of the sticker sheet and not each element and/or text. When you upload the backing sheet as a print then cut you should see it displayed as as a greyed out shape with no transparency around the elements. You’ll see transparency displayed as grey and white checkered pattern in the print then cut section after uploading image - if it’s transparent all around the header it’ll try to cut around that whole element so make sure it’s one flat image. Hopefully that makes sense!

how did you save them? I just done this for my stickers and saved by going export png 300ppi etc. but when I uploaded them into Design Space, all of the images and text are extremely blurry and unreadable :(

Hi Sophie - Is it just displaying blurry or is it printing low res as well? I find that Cricut Design Space displays low res but prints ok. I export as high res 300dpi png (backing sheet with white background as one file and then export the art work as transparent png with backing sheet layer hidden), and set up my artboards at the final size so there’s no res loss caused from scaling. If it’s displaying low res try doing a test print on regular paper to see if the quality is ok. Also check your printer settings. I deselect ‘add bleed’ (we don’t need it for this), and select ‘open system dialogue’ - it’ll open the print dialogue box (it’ll pop up behind the Cricut window), and I select my print settings there. The options will differ depending on your printer but it should have a high quality print option so you’ll want to check that as well, and you may need to test which paper type option gives you the best results for the sticker paper you’re using (I think I use matte photo setting iirc for my Epson). I hope that helps!

@@mudg3t Thanks so much for such a detailed reply! ☺️ I fixed the issue of blurriness, yeah it was just because it loaded super massive and I think my Design Space didn't like it. But now of you dont mind, i have a new question lol..I calibrated my machine and then cut, but the cuts were still off and not cutting all around my white outline, 😥 I thought because Cricut says it's set to 8.5 x 11 that I would need to make my printer settings the same...but I live in NZ and we use A4 paper. What do you have your paper size settings set to? I'm just wondering if the cut was off because I told the printer US letter, but it of course is printing onto my A4 sheet..?

@@galacticgummybearzzz it’s most probably Cricut itself misaligning - I had to recalibrate sooo many times, it’s my biggest frustrations with the machine. I’ve printed both with lettersize and A4 and various page output settings and, for me, they had no bearing on the cutting alignment. When I do the machine calibration I usually had to do it several times, and at one point I even had to contact Cricut support. Some vids I’ve watched have found glossy paper or certain lighting can upset the sensor too. For me it was due to tech issues with the DS software. So if you don’t have any luck with several rounds of recalibration I’d give support a call (there’s an AU & NZ support line I got from the Cricut Aus & NZ Instagram account if that helps), don’t even bother trying to contact online via their website. Fingers crossed for you!
