After watching a few now of these retro videos, it's clear now that, not just the competition, but also the winners have improved dramatically. Everyone is bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic, etc, now than in this time period. That's not just exclusive to this sport, but really all sports and honestly mankind in general. It's amazing what the human race has evolved to do, constantly pushing the boundaries of our livelihood to consistently exceed what was believed to be our limitations. I mean, all of this is in no disrespect at all to Bill Kazmaier. The man was an absolute beast.
