- This is the all-new BMX X1 - an entry-level SUV in BMW’s line-up. The new X1 however can now be classified as a premium small SUV. Then again, the all-new X1 has grown in size and it now is a bit closer to the X3 than ever before!
BMW gives us plenty of choices with the X1 when it comes to engines, I am testing the MHEV (Mild Hybrid) 2l petrol engine which together with the BMW gearbox works wonderfully. With the plush interior and great infotainment system, could the new BMW X1 be a winner?

Not sure I'd call it pretty TBH. 🤔
I love the look, I love the colour, it's a bold design, Bmw have a knack of designing vehicles that will look good 4 years from now, but that they put on the market today
Better than the first ugly duckling effort and nothing wrong with brand loyalty from most owners

Nobody needs a X3 20i anymore! The X1 now is as big as an older X3!
If you can look past the incontestable beauty of the presenter, the gorgeous denim / leather / heels combinations, that accent , the heavy right foot , that jawline and the unique phrasing you will be rewarded with the best road review , stunning scenery , beautifully filmed and edited and occasionally ( 😂) she will beat the declared 0-100 times ( I’d launch til I did and edit it in )

I think the new X1 is the best small SUV on the market. BMW nailed it with this car 😊
I like it, Its ideal for those who want an SUV vehicle without the bulk that goes with them. Would sometimes make you wonder why you need their bigger brothers for, the smaller ones can tick all if not most of the boxes anyway. Great review as always Anna.
Hi Andrew, thank you. Very much so, it just ticks most boxes. The new X1 is surprisingly so spacious and would be enough for most people.

Bit late to the party today, roads are clean and dry here in England, so I went out to play! 😃 X1, perfectly okay, nice cabin, but not exactly inspiring. Some of your camera work is outstanding madam, really excellent. Makes me want to visit Poland, when the weather is a bit warmer!

Love the new X1 both in terms of its exterior and interior design. Other countries are lucky to get a wide variety of engine options. Unfortunately in India we only get the 18i and 18d , wish we got the 23i and 23d 😭😭
Hi Sanchay, the 18i and 18d are a little bit underpowered but the gearbox does make up for it.
@@AnnaOnRoads I’m sure the DCT would make up for some of that missing punch from both the motors but BMW engines + ZF8 transmission = Match made in Heaven!
No DCT can come close to the ZF8!

Brilliant review there Anna. Love the intro and Hahaha those "chicken engines" so funny. I just saw one of the old X1's and yes they are a bit bland but boy did BMW totally change the game with the new X1. Yes I do like the looks of the new X1 and it does looks quite stunning with that copper/orange colour and that grill looks good as well and those light do looks stylish but I think I would of gone with silver or chrome alloy wheels to finish it of but that's me. Love the interior with the beige and black combo and those seats look very comfortable. Very quite engine until you put it in sports mode and then it had a nice growl to it. Not bad not bad at all for the baby SUV from BMW but you wouldn't expect anything less from BMW.

You and your videographer nailed it in this video Love the transition from each chapters from one topic to the other topic and the slow modes and the B rolls with the drive by's and the drones scenes. I don't know how you do it but you always some how improve on what I thought was near or prefect videos/review. Keep it up Anna and your videographer. Well all the best Anna. :-)
Another great review with top notch thoughts on the video production. Clever mirror shots like when you got in the car we could see your face in the door mirror when you closed the door along with others. This is a great car but there are a few things that I think could improve it. The loss of the iDrive wheel should be brought back as with the storage box between the seats. I would also like to see the paddle shifters return. Generally the style has improved but I still have a little issue with the fake front grille, it just doesn't need to be that big but it's now a BMW trait. I prefer the older style in that respect. Once again a brilliant video Anna and thankyou for sharing it with is. Great work Anna!

Well, I like especially... the bonnet presented by your "beautiful sculptured" gloved hands 😍 The car - I like more the BMW recent door handles design and the color :) What I miss is still body proportions like in the first X1 (rear-, or full drive). But at the end it doesn't matter because SUVs are not in my style. What worries me more is lack of i-drive, after implementation of cheap monitor gauges another way to spare production cost while explaining clients that is better for them. Pozdrawiam goraco z Zürichu.

their is also an fully electric variant, called the ix1 as well if you want to go fully electric.

Just a tip, you dont need the camera moving all the time. Also, dont need so much music in transitions. Other than that amazing as always!
I thought I was having a stroke at one stage, nope just the cameraman was a bit tipsy after having too many sherries at lunch
I rented one a few weeks ago in Denver. I couldn’t believe how good the entertainment system was compared to my Lexus. I’m not a fan of BMW or Mercedes because of their unreliability and how expensive they are to maintain but that’s a nice car. I don’t know about the color maybe Anna is color blind.
Hi Gus, as much as I am a huge Lexus fan, BMW's infotainment system is far more superior. It's just a different world
@@AnnaOnRoads I agree with you Anna I drove a 2020 lc 500 beautiful car but the entertainment system was terrible. Anna on a side note when are you releasing more yacht videos have you seen Jeff Bezos $500 million super yacht just crazy .
@@tampaguy6370 Well, it just shows you, very difficult to have it all. The LC 500 - amazing performance, class, finesse and so much. more. I love the Ms from BMW, or even more so Alpina B4 or the B8. But they will never carry that elegance Lexus does.

Thank you Robert. Very much depending on the spec. The X1 is still much sportier than the XC60. The XC60 prioritizes comfort over sportiness. But I do very much like that mild hybrid diesel engine in the XC60.

Hi Greg, it is not unusual that our opinions differ, it's just a question of expectations and understanding what the target market of the X1 is.
Martin Logan/ Klipsch must be a North American thing these brands in the UK aint popular at all and are aesthetically unattractive as klipsch each to their own though
