Hi, I am only trying to help my fellow modeller, DO NOT stick your elevators (Horizontal Stabilizers), before painting your fuselage. as it makes easy to paint, and also your under carriage doors, never stick your Pitot static probe keep it for the last after you finish painting, all this is from my 40 years of personal experience.
You have the basics down...rethink your build sequence and be patient, check the internet for ideas and tips...and I love the Ammo of mig paints too. Good job👍
I'm sorry brother, but this video was kinda painful to watch. You really should have some audio, either speaking or music. That's not the only reason. Now I don't want to come off sounding harsh or nitpicking but I have a few tips I want to share with you that are intended to be helpful for future builds. I noticed that you didn't sand and/fill any seams anywhere on the entire model. Also there were a few gaps you should have worked out before ever throwing any paint/primer on it, for instance, the gap at the forward portion of the wing assembly. The landing gear and wheels/tires are much easier to paint separate, i.e. paint the wheels/tires inboard & outboard prior to gluing to the struts as well as paint the struts prior to gluing the wheels/tires to them. As far as the weathering, it doesn't matter if you do it before or after gluing them all together, but the landing gear bays are easier to paint and weather before you attach the gear and doors to the aircraft. Also if you're going to position the air brakes open, again it's easier to paint & weather the interior of the brake and the bay before you attach it. When it comes to "decals" I always try to minimize the number of them I actually use. What I like to do, because I think it not only looks better, but it's also easier when it comes to weathering, is to use the decals as templates to cut stencils and paint as many as possible. That allows me to chip using the hairspray method and/or sand them to achieve a more realistic fading effect as well as eliminating that dreaded carrier film edge around the decal. Lastly, before you paint, if you go ahead and glue the canopy in place and if you have any that you are going to position opened, simply use a few dots of pva, so it's easy to remove and reposition, that eliminates the possibility of a miss match of paint color or getting overspray on the interior of the canopy. Again sorry for the novel that appears to rip your work to shreds. Believe me that is not my intention. Overall the finished product looks pretty good. I just want to share some tips to help you improve your skills. I just started on a 20 year old WWII Helldiver kit that I inherited from my dads collection and that thing is a turd that I am trying some new techniques that I've never had to use before, rescribing every panel line and really the new one to me, rivets. That's the kind of stuff I love doing. Things I've never done before, because it's a learning experience and it makes for a, to me, a much more fun build. So, keep up the good work and always try to do something different and new to you on every build and modeling will never get old and boring. Warfareinscale stand in the past for quality videos, the modelers was really experts ,but today i watched this video and i was deeply disappointed, so many seams and gaps you didnt filled and some other mistakes, It was the last video i had watched here.
