- In this video, Rick (@sqrbdyc10) and Robbie (WG) track down a 1973 2wd SUPER PATINA Suburban in Georgia. This is the beginning of Project #C_PlentyBurb (hashtag designed for use on Instagram) - as you can see this thing has plenty of room, plenty of rust, and plenty of room to ride. I had a 1983 Chevrolet Suburban that I paid $900 dollars and started right up with no issues. The truck had the typical rust in the lower quarter panels. Wish I still had that truck

I purchased a 99 Chevy Suburban from the first owners now it's my daily driver can't believe no cracks on the dashboard no tears on the seat whatsoever spare tire was never used all highway miles
I had a 79 Suburban, Scottsdale C10. It had a 350 cid. Had it for 13 years. Great truck, lots of power, lots of room. This video brought back memories. Thanks for sharing my friend!

@@UNITEDBYTRUCKSHow much did you pay for it?! I have 2 square body suburbans. I have a 1986 with 2 tone black/grey, grey interior, 454 big block, 2wd, dual exhaust. The other is a 1989 with 2 tone Navy blue/silver, navy blue interior 4x4 with a 4" rough country lift, 37" tires and a 350 motor.
Ohh shes definetly seen better days but a little love will git-r-done im a huge fan of suburbans and station wagons and hearses my fav ones are 71s my birth yr i cant wait to see how this one turns out

Man I wish my wife would react like that to squares and old trucks in general. She says she just doesn’t like them. I haven’t had one since before she and I met but man your vids get the wheels turning to have another one. lol.

my father had 2 suburbans when i was young! had a1983 2wd 1/2 with 305, 305 overheated, replaced with a so called 350, that turned out to be a 400sb!!! that floated the big tank around a little better!!!! then he got a 1990 sub 350 fuel injected. a big tough comfortable ride, pack the people in and away you go!!!!!!

Just catching up as a new scriber, 8 bills not bad.. originally from Idaho where dad and I restored classics and built street rods. minis the rust ( which is a lot of Fab work) over all it's in pretty decent shape for a southern veh. ..looking forward to seeing how it turned out.

Joe Ramirez no updates yet. Been moving a few things around. But yes, we film just about everything we do. We just haven’t been doing a whole lot. We put a lot of energy into Battle in Bama but are about to start making things happen on a few builds you’ve seen...and some new ones.

haha Teddy was a frame on March 31 last year and was at Beech Bend for HRPT on June 6th or 7th, but this won't be anything like that so I think we can make it. I did almost kill myself to get Teddy to that point though. Not doing that again. Can't wait to see ya'll. Should be a good time.

Other than I've bought some period hubcaps for it and moved it into covered storage...not much. It's really really rusty so I'm thinking about just putting a motor in it and driving it.

Sure haven't. It was way more of a rust bucket than expected so it's been sitting in storage. Considered converting to 4x4 and lettin' her rip.

Power wash rust. Hats first. Address the roof and seams plus chek the frame. Buy a parstruk within ls do. The swap. Th roof got less than two years left. As is strip to metal teat prime paint then fauxrina it. Use hood. 76 grille. Then do interior in Mexican. Banketsnew stank and reese hitch. Lower it new shocks add air bags. Do the. Vintage air deal u got a winner

Must of originally been a northern truck. Cuz that's a lot of rust for an original southern truck?🤔
Been in Hart County, Georgia since the 70s I believe. Most people think the South doesn't have rusty trucks, but that's definitely not the case. Especially the '79 and back GM trucks. We're eat up with it down here. But I like it! Especially surface rust.
Northern Truck would have had huge rust holes around the wheel wells and not any surface rust
