It's called Super Donkey Kong on Colecovision and the Intellivision Home Brew Version called DK Arcade is still better sure the Colecovision has better looking graphics but the Intellivision Home Brew plays almost %100 just like the arcade version. Mario looks like Mario it has the how high can you get screen has the cut scene of the rivets board and plays the correct song for the first rivets and also has the DK Growl from the actual Arcade with no Intellivoice needed.
This "upgrade" to Colecovision is UNFINISHED - notice how the bonus 4200 for completing the pie factory board at 4:07 was NOT added to the score on the next board. Score is still 26,600 when it should be 30,800.
I've heard you mention this before - BlueMSX emulating the Colecovision? I thought this emulator only emulated just about the the MSX machines out there but emulating the Colecovision with this emulator is new to me. The Colecovision version of Donkey kong was actually featured in an Episode of Magnum P.I. where this kid was lying in the hospital playing his Colecovision with Magnum having a miserable go at it.... :P

CV is the short way to type "ColecoVision" a game system released in 1982 by Coleco Industries to directly compete Atari in the videogames market.
I wonder how is it that these "super games" needed a hardware upgrade when they looked and played exactly the same, with the same flaws and limitations, but just a minimum of added content? Even if the super game module was released it likely would have fizzled out quickly. It just wasn't enough of an upgrade to be worth while
This isn't a super game. Someone took Coleco's initial Donkey Kong and stuck in a level. The true Super Game has the animations, better graphics, cut scenes, different girders, and saves high scores. Search "Donkey Kong Super Game Adam" to see. Hi am searching for a adam emulator wich does NOT require any extra shit like dosbox or dll ldn file,no it must straight work on win 10 ,so do you know 1 celoco emulator wich also supports adam? My point is that most coleco emulators don't support adam or they do support sg1000 and mark 3 instrad. Thanks.
@@marshmallowdub hi, i believe you need to download colem emulator wich also does support adam computer and for the 5th stage version of donkeykong jr you need to download the reference 14 or reference 15 version of it,some do suggest to download reference 13 version,mmm oh well you can try both.

Most Super Nintendo games had the word SUPER and Nintendo 64 games had 64 at the end, here the word Super refers to the SUPER GAME MODULE planned by Coleco back in the 80s, but the project changed to become the COLECO ADAM COMPUTER as a module to be used with the ColecoVision or a standalone computer. Today, there is a SUPER GAME MODULE imagined by fans but has totally different specs than the planned module and so this game released in the 80s is not optimized for the new module.
