Thank you so much my puppy grew out of his collar. So I just cut his old one and used the d ring and the clip. I also would like to say that your a wonderful beautiful women.

Love this.. been looking for crochet collars. I qm trying to make one for my bully, I want her name and some hearts so I guess I qm going to use wide single crochet and carry the yarn to make it tougher.. thank you for sharing i needed help with adding the clips

Hi, I just went to the Redheart website and Cordial is sold out and no longer in production. What would make a good substitution (other than paracord)

Gem Astren Strata yarn, or Bernat Maker yarn, or the Craft cord.
Things you need if anyone missed it (for the collar)
-D Rings
-the crochet thingy (idk what it’s called)
- Paracord Buckels
- red heart cordial string or parachute cord or craft cord

Thank you for this video. I have been wanting to make our dog a new collar but I was wondering if this would also work using a cotton yarn? I wasn't sure if the cotton yarn would wear out to quickly. Our little furbaby only weighs 4 pounds (give or take an ounce or two Lol) Thank you in advance for your response. By the way, Your little Max IS precious!! :)
yes, you can use cotton yarn, but it will wear out pretty quickly.
Sara Sach stretches too much with yarn. Grrrr
That's why you need cord.

I think if you use 2 strands of Worsted weight, it might be a little stiffer, but you will always get stretch with yarn.
Is this safe for a heavy puller?
Ettina Kitten That would really depend on the dog. You can make it as thick as needed.

You Can, But I do not suggest it.
How do i make it thicker and more Colors
Choose a thicker yarn or stitch more beginning chains. To get more colors add in more colors of the yarn.

Thanks for the ideas. Just an fyi, it was kinda difficult to see because the the camera is facing you and not looking at the project from the crocheters view point.
