What an incredible dreamscape! That white'ish country land with that huge Big Boy steam clouds are just amazing to watch! I miss the audio too but even without audio it's awesome to watch. Thanx because I live in Europe and can never be there to see it in real life.

Very nice job of flying and great locations for setting up. You did your homework well. I love the drone footage. I flew mine through the steam trail, it did not like it very well.... Thanks for sharing.
@@VintageSlots It was cool, but not freezing. It instantly lit up my controller with some red warnings, I suspect proximity alarms. I was too busy trying to recover to try to read them.
I was planning to drive from Emory to Jefferson with my elder parents, but I came down with shingles. I guess my body couldn't handle the excitement. I was sooooooooo disappointed!!
Excellent footage... Some of the comments here mentioned they miss the sound... Me too. But what I did not see, is comments about what it's like to be in the presents of such a Majestic Marvel of Engineering... Not only the sight, & sound... but the feel, and smells. You can literally feel the sound through the air. Especially cold air in the snow. More impressive is the feel of the Engine through your feet. The ground literally shakes... Your Whole Body... 😀 As the 4014 passes... The combination of Sight... Sound... Feel... Shake... and last, but not least... The Smells... I'm not going to Attempt to explain the smells... Some things you can only Understand by experiencing them... This is one of those things. The smells take you back in time... a time familiar too generations in their twilight. If at all possible... they should share this experience with, & in the presence of their family, and friends. This window into the past must remain as clear in the minds of future generations as the view seen on a clear day after a fresh snow... Much like this video shows... Thank you for this video 💜🇺🇸😀

Big Boy stopped here in eastern Oklahoma couple weeks ago and I had the pleasure of seeing that massive engine. It was pretty amazing to see.

It is used for dynamic breaking on hills and I believe that it provided electric for the following cars !😄😄🍺🍺🍺
Next year, if Ed is game, let UP#4014 drive a full load for a distance....will be on my track next month! What an Engine!
Despite UP doing the crazy stuff, it's things like this that makes me happy to be a conductor for them!!
Would be so much better if UP ran this with it's restored E units, or at least the dd40 instead of that modern engine as backup.
