Thank you for taking the time to share your some of the ins and outs of this particular 20 W Diode Laser Engraver. I am not so sure if this will be something to utilize on semi large production scale. There seems to be wasted space within the cubed space just for one rotary engraving. Not sure if I want to dedicate all that space for just rotary as it seems you will need to remove it to acquire the bed space to engrave other items. Just the uninstall and reinstall of the rotary may be somewhat cumbersome. Please share future projects utilizing this machine to give us any updates on any issues you might have encountered. Thanx Build Dad Build!!
I ordered the 20W Vision Laser two days ago and I can't wait to get it! I got the IR, rotary and air handler! EEK, I am watching all the videos to be ready to start!
Love watching your videos. You are one of the first to get me into Laser engraving. You had a drawing to win a chance to go to laser show in the past, what other laser shows are there for me to start looking to attend? Thank you
You mention it can do a 40 oz tumbler but I find 2 problems. 1. It only allows for one diameter/perimeter measurement and 2. The open end of the tumbler is too big for the rotary piece. What do you suggest for those 2 issues? I just got the machine for Christmas and really want to play with full 40 oz engraving. Thanks much.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a good machine. Not impressed by the rotary attachment cord having to go underneath the tumbler. That should have been placed so it was all on the same side
Would you mind showing us a full wrap on a tumbler that is curved like the 20, 30 or 40 oz Stanley Quencher or ice flow? That would make this machine exactly what Im looking for. Thank you.
Yes! I’ve been using laser for 4 years ( only CO2), but I wanted a machine just for tumblers and to do full wrap! I bought this laser solely for that, but I have no clue where to start when it comes to rotary and tumblers/Stanleys!
I really like this, I just wish they reduced the number of features. I know, sounds counter-intuitive, but the more adds the more costly. The software seems great, the auto leveling/focusing is even better, I just wonder how it would be without the auto-raising box.
@@BuildDadBuild No, it seems fair, but it is almost pushing CO2 levels. But compared to the other 20Ws, it is similar in the range with more features and extras, which does set it above. I just wish there was a slimmed-down version.
Nick, Help! What setting to use to cut mdf with the 20w diode WeCreat to cut back or stop the soot. It is driving me crazy. Keep in mind this is my first laser and all the "laser terms" are greek to me. I have the filter that they sell with the laser. Thank you! Judy
Hello is it any reason why the lines on my logo are not fine, kind of cricket on some parts and the final design does not look clean any help much appreciated. Thank you!
@@BuildDadBuild well when I am going to engrave cilinder the auto focus button disabled, but also when I engrave on wood I am facing the same issue. I will like to send you an example photo of what am I talking about to explain myself better

I hope it’s better … it’s a never ending battle of laying out your issues, asking questions and hoping they respond properly to all of it but every time they basically pick what they want to respond to , normally they rephrase your question, send it back and if your lucky after a week 2 questions have been answered. $1,700 is ridiculous for a diode laser, especially at only 20 watts. There's no possible way their little gadgets are going to add that much to the price.

Oh it’s definitely a hobby machine.

Not sure. Lightburn's show just happened. There will be another APLazer show next year.
How long did the orange one take to engrave?
20min?
I prefer the Roly rotary mounting but the WeCreat chuck rotary. I think Roly has a new chuck rotary thought.

You need to adjust the rotary for the 40oz tumbler.
I heard my name over the interwebs 😉! Nicely done sir!
LOL
Great video! Thanks for sharing.

Agreed.
With the diameter setting, does it matter that the tumbler is narrower lower down? Does that make it blurry at all on one end? Thanks for the video.
You always want to level the tumbler.
Are you able to do a full wrap on a 40oz tumbler?
Sure

Does the machine have the capability of turning to engrave the whole tumbler or its stationary? Thank you 😊
It can. However in this machine a full wrap tumbler would probably take several hours to engrave.

The price isn't too bad for a 20W diode...

Glad it was helpful!
How big of a tumbler can you do? 30 oz by chance? Looking at doing 12oz wine tumblers, 20oz, 30oz and the slate coasters....
You probably could. But I would check out the LaserMatic by Roly Automation. Better machine IMO

What is the link for the cleaning stuff you use sir?
Should be in the description.
Yall have a 2w, 20w and 40w, which is the best for engraving tumblrs

How does this machine do on real leather patches for baseball caps? Engrave and cut?
I would not use this machine for that.
Do you have a link for the sleeved tumblers ? Thanks
If it’s not in the description I do not.
This looks amazing

I only deal with marketing.

can it engrave on glass ?
Diode lasers can’t engrave on glass with out a marking agent.
@@BuildDadBuild I was thinking a uv laser would be the best for glass.
it definitely isnt a magicbox from what ive seen the last 2 weeks

The xTool is more expensive and, I know for a fact, unsafe to use in a household environment.
Roly devices are awesome as well as there customer support. Their demand is off the charts and you just lost me as a follower. All the best
