It takes BALLS to be this honest! The people on the interwebs are ruthless! So ty for always being REAL. (even with the health vids and everything that motherhood brings, which ain't always sunshine and rainbows ❤).
I think what’s great about you is that you do so much research on adopting these animals and you can admit when you’ve sometimes got it wrong. Then making the hard decision to rehome instead of keeping the animal, as you know it’s best for them ❤ most people might’ve kept the animal and struggled making it a bad environment for both human and pet xx
Thank you, I appreciate what you've said here. It's easy to jump to conclusions when people need to rehome and sometimes it really is the best option for everyone and mabye an even better otpion for the animal at times. "rehoming" has a bad stigma and it really shouldn't. It should be done thoughtfully and responsbily. But sometimes it is something that has to be done. It's hard, and I do miss all these guys dearly, but they are crushing life and that makes me happy. Husband happy, kids have the room they need. All is good. 👍
I’ve been watching you for a long time and I remember when you got that huge lizard that was in bad shape. I remember feeling so relieved that he found his way to you. I knew that lizard was going to have the best life.
This is truly the ideal way to find adopters for your animals! The animals get exposure by you showing them. And their personality. And potential adopters can learn all about them!
I just rescued a 14yr old sulcata last April! He’s about 80lbs and He lived in a basement but now he has his very own heated 10’x12’ shed for the winter!
I have to mention the hair too, stunning, so perfect for you! Oh please let it grow out it’s natural color Kristen!🥰 I’m glad your furbabies are all well and they have you to care for them.❤
I had two girl ferrets, Harlow & and Bandit, were there names. They were by far one of my favorite pets I've ever owned. They have the funniest personalities. I always say they are my spirit animal. Like you, I've had Vieled Chamelion, green tree frogs, Firebelly Newts & toads, Dumpy tree frogs. I love animals like you. I'm so happy you make sure people are qualified before you let them adopt them. I would one day love to own a skunk. Im a sucker for the weasle look. Love your videos girly 🐸🦎🐍🦨
I love your videos! I think a realistic mini pig video is much needed. I was like you and watched all these videos before we got a mini pig and then when we got her it was so different. I love my mini pig but it is not like what you see in videos. We had everything set up and ready to go and she had other plans. She is in charge and we have learned to go with it. lol 😀
Winnie is super spoiled, I think she has such an awesome set up. She even sleeps inside with the family at night and her brother. Pretty awesome. Piper is here, she spends a lot of time segregated unfortunately. I have not been able to find her a good home, no one seems to reallyw want to take a chance and take on that liability of having a dog who has not only killed, but attacked other animals. She has triggers, and generally we know what they are, but she definitely has some pyschological issues I believe. Nick offered putting her to sleep, but I really couldn't live with myself if I chose to do that. I couldn't. She doesn't know any better. So we have come up with a plan for her and she will be a guard dog along with a few other large dogs we will be getting when our property is fecned in :) She needs a job and I think she will thrive and really appreciate running around the entire property and protecting the chickens!
I researched for 2 years before getting my bearded dragon( not as big as a pig but ..) everywhere said “ great beginner reptile, easy to look after” NO I have a fussy, mardy .. go on hunger strike if you change my viv beardie, you can research but actually living it is how you learn it, just like parenting! Xx
Yeas! Bearded Dragons are NOT begginner reptiles i think. They need uvb, they have complex diets, they are prone to many illnesses.... Etc. Or they can be offcourse, with research and dedication from the new owner:)
Check out Kamp Kenan he has alot of tortoises. Sulcatas love to dig and try to escape and make deep burrows. That's ones thing i know you will have to watch out for. I learned a lot from him and decided on red foot tortoises. Daisy Mae is adorable.
OMG my dogs bring me turtles all the time!!! i think they think that theyre bones because theyll sit there and try to chew on it like a bone -_- poor turtles! haha but i always make them drop it and release the poor turtle back into the wild. (they ARE actually boxturtles, so theyre able to close their shells all the way so my dogs never injure their limbs, but still!)
I’ve missed you Kristen! Just a random question and if it’s too personal I completely understand, but what made you move to Nashville and then back to CA? I’ve been thinking about moving around and was just curious what your process was for why/where you were going to move.
Hello!! I appreciate you considering my private life and me not wanting to share, I'm a pretty open book though. I moved to Nashville because I was sick of the cost of living and tax rates in california and I had also just gotten divorced and I wanted a fresh start. I have always loved Nashville and I visited it often and I've always wanted to own land and live in a green beautiful place and I love country music and good food. So it seemed like the perfect fit. Well, one week before i moved to Nashville I met my now husband and we dated long distance for 1.5 years while I lived in Nashville and I eventually decided it was time to make the move back to CA because he was unwilling to move due to the work he had put in at his career. So I moved back to CA and I've been here since. Do I wish I still lived in Nashville? Most days. But I do love the weather here and I love that I can garden all year long and there are HARDLY ANY mosquitoes!

If she did "research" she wouldn't have gotten it in the first place 💀

Oh. I forgot to say you are the best wife/mama to human babies and all your animals
take 3 large bristle brush and attach them to an arch that big enough for tortoise walk through is a great enrichment
YES. YOU ARE BAACK !! Love it. Loving the hair ❤
Always appreciate your honesty and your love and research and care of animals❤ also, still obsessed with this hair color for you😍Gorgeous!!!

Thank you for explaining. Sounds like Winnie has a good home. I was also wondering where Piper is. I realized I haven't seen her in a video in a while

The brian barcyz channel would probably have more info or know where to get it. They have several tortoises
