✎ He's a Navy SEAL and former USAF Tactical Air Control Party member. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He's an ultramarathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, and triathlete. He graduated from Army Ranger School with the distinction of enlisted "Top Honor Man". He also served as the bodyguard for Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari. He's the only member in the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training, U.S. Army Ranger School and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training. He has raised over $2 million for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. He was able to run 100 miles in under 19 hours despite never having run a marathon before. He has competed in numerous long distance endurance events, most notably ultra-marathons. He was named a "Hero of Running" by Runner's World

I must say... David Goggins is THE most influential person I've encountered in my life (& I'm 51 yrs old! ). Everytime my alarm rings, I get tired, or lose motivation, I hear his voice in my head - "you don't wanna get up? you GET UP! Don't wanna work out? you WORK OUT!
EVERY DAY... I do something I don't want to do. He's totally right. Following his lead has calloused my mind & enabled me to survive that 8am call in February of this year when I was told that my beloved Mom was dead. The words of Goggins are now allowing me to the strength to continue fighting for my dreams.

Evan Carmichael Thanks! Honestly, I’d much prefer you taking a request of mine into consideration 😁 I’d love to see more positive, uplifting motivational videos. Something like the first 30 seconds of this clip: th-cam.com/video/zCyB2DQFdA0/w-d-xo.html. Not artificially cheery, but sincere (and contemplative, among other things).
Otherwise, a lot of these videos in the motivation genre are very depressing.

Every bloody day there is something I don't want to do and so I relegate it to another day and procrastinate. I end up overwhelmed, stressed and annoyed until I eventually tackle the whole pile of suck. This repeated message from David resonated with me, thank you.

He is right with a lot of things like not giving up and challenging yourself.
But he still has some healing to do when you hear him judging people and his old self as weak/strong. People aren't just black/white. Judging always is a sign of some broken spots. Instead of eating people's souls and looking down on them, teach them with love and empathy.
You can be a warrior and a leader and still come from a healed, loving and even a more relaxed place.

As a high school math teacher, I have to concur with rule #6. Kids today are softer. The gen xer's(I'm a babyboomer) were a lot tougher than millenials and gen z. I try to inspire them by telling them I've done an Ironman, but they're not interested.

Motivational speakers are a self contradicting. On one hand they say your circumstances and endowment dont determine your outcome. On the other, if u look at motivational speakers themselves, u r far more likely to succeed as one if u r tall, good-looking etc. Both a rejection and confirmation of a reality in one. The best that can be said is that u can adjust your chances in life to a degree. But that sounds to down to earth to be inspiring.

I’m a fan of your top 10 series on TH-cam. But I came across David Goggins Top 10 Rules for Success v2 and found a disturbing fact: all curse words were muted, but the N word was kept in its entirety. I find this very disturbing that you realize people are offended by foul language but OK with the N word. Please change this in your videos.
