The only way the mother could transfer money from his savings account to their shared account is if the savings account was shared also. Having a shared account doesn't enable you to transfer money from an account solely owned by the other person.
I would have posted the entire story on Facebook, telling everyone the story and highlighting the fact they STOLE and NEVER apologised. I would have then left it up, even after they'd paid it back and block them from calling me.

My grandma brother family screwed over my family for land resources, my family lived on. They forged my grandmother signature and got all the $$, but in the end Karma got them, absolutely no college graduates from that family whereas my family we are racking those w/useful jobs and degrees.
If family helps family then why doesn't the mom help pay for her daughter's wedding. Also shouldn't the bank call the person who owns the account before having the money transferred. I haven't heard anything about the fathers take on this.
