Yup as soon as the money runs dry, the ex will be gone and OPs ex wife will be left all alone. I can’t even imagine taking money my husband and I worked hard for and use it to help an ex boyfriend (I dont talk to my ex boyfriend anyway), without talking to my husband about it. I wouldn’t even help family without speaking to my husband about it first
That’s insane that’s automatic divorce. That means you still hooked and you’re just like a place hold.😂 she knows she did wrong. That’s why she’s ashamed and she still likes that other dude.
Stupid? Yep. Misguided? Yep. Second chance? Not on your life, woman. The part that isn't said out loud here is that she assumed that she was smarter than OP, and that he'd never figure out what she was up to.
He handled this poorly at first. As soon as he found out he should have frozen everything. There's no way she should have been able to pay a deposit down on a house for someone else. Also, in many jurisdictions, and as the judge confirmed, withdrawal of money from joint funds without mutual consent and lying about it, is in fact theft and/or fraud and he could have pursued criminal charges. When she started spinning her tale after the divorce he should have taken legal action and threatened defamation lawsuit. But in the end it appears to have worked out for him.
I bet op ex wife will regret her decision to help her ex when he leave her high and dry and she ends up looking like a idiot

Draining joint accounts just before leaving your partner can also be illegal doesn't look good in the eyes of the court
No! YOU shared everything.
